Why no newbies in space?

If you find you always get lag on CND, try turning the graphics setting in the cclient loader down one notch - it works for me.

Well, I spawned up there at CND.

I was there for months and all I had to show was a Pixie mask I found, and 79 Sweat.

Then one day someone had mercy on me and paid my way planetside. (thank you!!)

Now three months later I have weapons, armor, new pants, skills, friends, and I started my own Society!

I want to go back up someday though. When I’m sure I can get back down.

I have tried and tested CND as a SPAWN Point for Noobs and though it is certianly possible to Sweat and Hunt in Dome 3 and Move up to other Domes when Ready… there isnt the same kind of Support that there is on the Planet… IF u want to Play EU in the traditional way…

However If Ur Just Visiting for Special Events then CND is the Choice Spawn Point and also a clever Noob will find a Good small stable community to interact with to get started so its definately not off limits and may well be suited to some..

Personally when Im marketing CND, I prefer to have people Spawn at PA, because its just more fun to start off together with 100’s of other noobs… The Truly commited will find their way upto CND…

In the Future however, when SPACE Opens and CND is a Launch Point for Space Exploration, then I think it Will be a Great Start off point for al the Noobs Drawn by the adventure Space has to offer… After all CND is on an Asteroid so until Space opens it is rather cut off and not operating at its full potential…

ive read this post and decided to sell some seat and move to CND i will be up there for about 1 month and try to get about 10k sweat before i leave. i will be mainly in domes 3 when i am online i only have some Armour a fap and some other noob items witch i wouldn’t sell my only way of the rock is to sweat

This may be strange to some, but I don’t generally resell what I mine or loot. I reuse in crafting or store for future use for when I branch out into other activies (hides for example). That way I don’t have to pay out for materials, I already have them on hand.

So if I have to lug everything around, it will be a short stay.

Being a n00b, we tend to associate with them as being non-depositors…but perhaps they are not:ahh:
I think everyone should go up to CND just to experience it for themselves. Afterall, each experience is different, because yours may not have been the best, doesn’t mean some one else’s will be.

Me too, it’s a shame there aren’t cargo flights or a postal system, it would make a nice service business.

Anti grav boxes …one of those would help, but a little pricey ATM …one day though.

Each dome has two teleports, one south one north. I really wouldnt worry too much about walking, everything at CND is close by

I think the phrase “Space aint for newbies” refered to the pre-CND times, when Space = Crystal Palace space station. Maybe not just the fact that those mobs are kinda mean, but also the fact that it takes a big budget to keep going in ups and downs until you hit the goddies

I am a noob and haven’t been off Calypso yet, so I posted to the general forum for any tips that space traveling players have for those like me in regard to their first trip as far as what to expect, how much to pay, what to do and see, etc. I think the main reason noobs don’t go is because of the cost factor and also because they don’t know what to expect. I hope some people reply to my thread on the general forum regarding this.
