People always say that space is no place for a newbie, and that kept me away from it for a while. When my freind started a new soc (EA CND), I had to take a look. What I saw was completely different from what had been decribed to me by veterans, and it was PERFECT for newbies. In dome 3 there are HUNDREDS of young diakiba and snable and berycled young with an excelent respawn time, But not a single sweater in the whole place (over an hour i got a whopping 34.69% success rate). Dome 5 is filled with high maturities of mostly snables (perfect for a newbie hunting teem) but not a single opalo or breer in the whole place. And the best part is, NO LAG! Is there some critical factor I missed, or are people just blinded my the uber mobs of CP?
No lag? On CND? Really?
Everytime I go up there my computer slows to a crawl. That point aside, I do have to agree that CND is a pretty ideal place for OJs to hang out, pick up fruit, pick up dung, or sweat.
i must also say āno lag?ā ⦠wow, hits me hard up there ā¦
only reason i donāt go up there much, at the beginning or even now, is a lack of storage
20 ped up and 20 ped down again
4000 sweat up 4000 sweat down
tough, pretty tough
and what for ?
you can find similar of not the same mobs at Eudoria, without the 20 ped to get to them
not to mention that you have to pay tax if you plan to kill the dry mobs
that is rather bad for newbies imo
Are you kidding? I am NEVER coming down! How many newbieās REALLY need storrage? Tax? 4% max? never stoped me (or anyone I know) from hunting on LAās. And if you always have lag on CND, visit dome 3.
Well, I spawned up there at CND.
I was there for months and all I had to show was a Pixie mask I found, and 79 Sweat.
Then one day someone had mercy on me and paid my way planetside. (thank you!!)
Now three months later I have weapons, armor, new pants, skills, friends, and I started my own Society!
I want to go back up someday though. When Iām sure I can get back down.
Exactly aliceā¦
- :
_ probably no market of ME upthere, therefore, noone buying sweat.
_ related to the first one: noone focusing noobs, and noone healing them with ME, to skill up.
_ because there is no storage, accumulating sweats, fruit or dung in the inventory will slow you to a crawl (but ofcourse, that may not be too much of a worry if you have time)
i agree this is what put me off going for a long time but i went and it was great but after i though gee that 40 ped for flights i could of spend on ammo i was quite say for a bit after and i was like
y did i go lol but if u can spend 40 ped do go its great
Well:
-It costs 20 to 25 PED to get up there, so thatād mean newbies would have to pay for the privilege of sweating up there. However they can find similar mobs on Calypso.
-There need to be newbies up there to entice others up there to start with. Why go there and sweat solo, when its easier to join a team of sweaters at Neas or Swamp Camp? Most people will stick to places they know will be other sweaters.
-Tax, obviously you need all the loot you can get whilst new, so itād be an idea to avoid tax.
-No one really buys sweat up there. Its easier to find a sweat buyer planet side than on CND - for example at Twins or PA.
-No storage.
-The lag. Yes, its lag free for some, but whilst running around up there my PC struggles for some reason. Sometimes I can be stuck for a good few minutes before I can move again.
-Exploration. Theres a LOT more to see on the continents than at CND, so if you get bored of sweating you can spend time exploring and perhaps getting new places on your map.
-Iām sure people in the control room wouldnāt approve of the chat being spammed with āselling sweat @ 0.6ā or ākeep sweat about 1.0!!!ā all day long.
Neverdie has tried to make it newbie friendly in one or two domes, but the problem is that very few newbies actually end up there. I remember reading if you download EU from NDās website, you spawn on CND⦠this still true?
Newbies should not spawn up there until there are a decent amount of people there who can teach them how to sweat, hunt, ect. But imagine being a newbie and NEVER getting trapped at an outpost, NEVER haveing to make teleporter runs, and never being suprised by by a high maturity mob in the midle of nowere.
BTW: I have a fap 50 and I will heal any newbie who I see up there sweating, and I would be glad to teem sweat with them if they wished to do so, and I would be more than happy to buy sweat from any newbie I see up there.
lol 4% isnt much ?
you actually pay NDs vacancies ![]()
but, let me try another approach
if you belong to some of those crazy eco ppl, who buy amps for hilarious prices, who buy L weapons because they are more eco, searching the the 0.2 dam per pec more
and hunt on LA and hunty volunatary on an LA that takes 4% of your lootā¦
but thats just me, trying to be eco
as long ND doesnāt plan to pay my vacancies, i am not going to pay for his ![]()
but thats just me again
hf at CND ![]()
oh, besides, besides the sweat market
lets even assume someone is so kind to buy it
and the newbie wants to go mining with 10 bombs
10 bombs at CND tend to be pad, you would have more luck at calypso most likely

Kinda boringā¦
I am getting quite good at navigating on radar through hostile grounds. Sure, sometimes frustrating, but if the game has no challenges, no risks, what fun is there
CND does have challenges, just not the takes-5-hours-to-fix-it-if-you-mess-up kind
not shure it is lag up there⦠is worse
ive been there few times and i have to tell you this cant hunt a dam thing because the lag. (actually i dont think is lag but more than Hysteresis to give the feeling of low gravity ) the result is that no way to move fast enough to kill a dam mob. going down to eudoria all movement comes back to normal so is no lag issue unless the cnd server is in another continent other than europe ![]()
Sorry to disagree with you, Arrowpointā¦
Even as a newbie, I think Iāve got something to add to this discussion. :wtg:
So letās say that youāre right, Arrowpoint, and that there are comparable conditions on CND, and maybe even some better ones up there.
Well, in my vast experience of playing this game (about 3 weeks now), Iād have to say that the most important thing in this game is the people.
At first, I just treated EU as just another game⦠But Iāve made some really cool friends, and I absolutely love my society! We hunt together, we mine together, we collaborate together, we just hang sometimes together, and yesterday we gathered a rescue party to save one of us who was stuck at an outpost. :wtg:
So yeah, while we have to run further, sweat more, and compete with many other players, we also have others to do this stuff with.
And I, personally, wouldnāt trade this for the best conditions in Entropia! :yay:
Not that I wouldnāt mind having more PEDs or loot or sweat to acquire easily⦠:ahh:
Iām just saying that I have made some really special relationships in just 3 weeks, and that those people are the reason why I still log in every night. ![]()
Just my two cents (well, it was probably worth more like half a centā¦). ![]()

:)If the original poster if happy and content up on CND I say, More power to him/her:yay: There is no reason to burst his/her bubble.
I can see both sides⦠where sweating would be great, who needs to be healed while sweating anyway:scratch2:
Yes, the need for sweat up there is extremely low, but whoās to say you can fly down and sell it.
Being a n00b, we tend to associate with them as being non-depositorsā¦but perhaps they are not:ahh:
I think everyone should go up to CND just to experience it for themselves. Afterall, each experience is different, because yours may not have been the best, doesnāt mean some one elseās will be.![]()
Best Wishes
I have tried and tested CND as a SPAWN Point for Noobs and though it is certianly possible to Sweat and Hunt in Dome 3 and Move up to other Domes when Ready⦠there isnt the same kind of Support that there is on the Planet⦠IF u want to Play EU in the traditional wayā¦
However If Ur Just Visiting for Special Events then CND is the Choice Spawn Point and also a clever Noob will find a Good small stable community to interact with to get started so its definately not off limits and may well be suited to some..
Personally when Im marketing CND, I prefer to have people Spawn at PA, because its just more fun to start off together with 100ās of other noobs⦠The Truly commited will find their way upto CNDā¦
In the Future however, when SPACE Opens and CND is a Launch Point for Space Exploration, then I think it Will be a Great Start off point for al the Noobs Drawn by the adventure Space has to offer⦠After all CND is on an Asteroid so until Space opens it is rather cut off and not operating at its full potentialā¦
On a final Note Any Noobs who do Love the Unique elements of CND:
Music 24/7
Convenient Hunting & Unique Spawns
Advanced Mining
Regular Weekend Events
Mall
Clubby Vibe
Give me a shout when u see me, I will buy any Sweat gathered from my Domes at standard Market Valueā¦
After all U only need 1 Buyer and Iāll take all of it at fair market Price (as long as its gathered at CND)
i though at first is was lag but its just because u are in space and zero gravity thats y u are slower
indeed neverdie
i think it is great that you have domes that cater for each level on your resort.
youāve done a great job of cnd and deserve my +rep mate ![]()
sounds cool ND when space is starting to open up i think i will get a cheap 1 way ticket and sweat up there for a bit will need to get evade and stuff up a little first but to me it sounds like a exiting and almost unheard off challange i would love to try for a while
problem is u would missa out on alot of stuff back on calipso unless u could get easy cheap flights or didānt mind
