Tired of Noobs bitching

I’m getting sick of reading posts on EP and else where of noobs bitching about ppl who have Mod Faps, Imp MK2, Mod Merc’s.

“Blah Blah game is so unbalanced blah blah”
“It’s not fair I can’t kill this guy”
“Why he can kill me in 1 shot?”
and so on

  1. most of these whiners don’t deposit
  2. they expect to make money for nothing
  3. if you don’t like the game play something else

GROW UP it’s a video game FFS!
Granted an expensive one :silly2:
I got a suggestion… How bought get a job and become a productive member of society?

My 2 cents

i kinda agree with you if it wasnt for the horrible experience Landgrab was for me and 90% of the players the game is clearly unbalanced and not very well fittet for fps shooting when 2 guys with ml35 amped cant kill a guy in shadow with modfap then its just not fun to pvp i sure hope MA makes some better rules for future pvp events

Well I think PE is a bit unbalanced. If it all would be designed today items like mod fap wouldnt exist. However its not like MA could get rid of old stuff they have designed. Personally I would like to see economical treatment fap which is really slow but heals a lot per pec and then a fast combat fap which heals fast but costs a lot more to use.

MindArk won’t ever get rid of things such as the mod fap. These items represent the large-volume depositing body, so beating these items with the nerf stick wouldn’t be in MA’s best interest. Some of the items are unbalanced, but there is such a small amount of them it doesn’t make a HUGE difference.

Instead of nerfing these items like the people posting in the thread on EP think, I’d like to see counters introduced. For example, MA could add in some weapons that do different types of damage, preventing one type of armor from being the cureall to all damage types.

Thats why im here at EF  I hope that just good noobs find their way here, not whining bastards  and lots of veterans

hush faust.

and as for the ‘large volume depositing body’ skyrider, even if they wanted to powerskill evade/firstaid/dodge/hp/courage/etc. they could still deposit and pay for tons of fap-5ing.

the modfap, at 1pec per click (the lowest decay cost by an absurd amount) does cost a buttload, and we all know why. it allows one to powerskill at a fraction of the cost. powerskilling could still be done by the large volume depositing body, but it would cost the same amount as powerskilling done by the ‘small volume deposit body’? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: is it not fair to ask for equality?

the fact is, theres not an active market in modfaps. no one ever sells one, they just get passed around social circles and societies so that an uber elite class gets to powerskill for cheap. … this is not fair, you all know it deep inside. the fact is that most of these faps are from years ago. a different time. you say ‘yeah its our right to have them because we’ve played for so long’ .. sure. until you lend it to someone. and they lend it to their disciple, and then someone in your soc borrows it to go skill on flies, etc, etc. it perpetuates the uneven social class. =P nothing will ever get better this way.

im not suggesting that one day all these faps dissappear.. the last person to buy one will be the one who gets ripped off the most, as they paid the most MV% increase. sucks to be them huh. the person who has the first modfap probably looted it, and will whine about their 900,000 peds or whatever, but the fact is, they never really had those peds in the first place, and they should have sold it sooner.

my suggestion is to make these faps decay slowly over time.. slow enough so that if a single person were to powerskill, they could achieve massive skill increases before the fap decays to 0.

faust this is for you. whats the full tt value of a modfap? and of an impfap?

well i dont know and geekman isnt replying, so lets assume a modfap is 1000ped, and an impfap is 500ped.

so out powerskilling, at 1pec per click, you use up all 1000ped of the modfap, when you goto the repair terminal, the max repair is 999ped.. hrmm.. odd. then you go out powerskilling again at 1pec per click. 999ped at 1pec per click = (how long? can an autoclicker user tell me?) when you go back to repair the modfap, its only worth 998ped after a full repair..

what im saying is that by the time you’ve used all 1000ped of a modfap, you’ll have super uber extreme skills. which is worth whatever you paid for it, or however long youve been playing, and then you’re put back on an ‘even’ (in quotes because you still have uber skills) field with the rest of us players.

this means you will NOT lend out your precious perm-decaying faps to your socmembers, friends, and disciples.

the uneven social class ends as time passes and people retire from pe. there will no longer be an ‘infinite’ supply of uber elites.

plus a modfap with 1000ped tt value will be worth 100% more than a modfap with 100ped full tt (partly skilled on)

I agree Faust. And for those who say PE is unbalanced…I say it should be.

I mean, we are trying for a virtual world here right? God knows that the real world is “unbalanced”.

Wow- good points to go all around imo.

I see Faust’s point. Of course PE is a game, and investing money and time can pay off.
I agree with Dash’s point however as well. The uber elite items (esp faps) stay in the same circles and add to the economy’s gap between “haves” and “have-nots”.
I personally think Skyrider’s suggestion is quite valid. MA ought to introduce some more faps that could compete with the old school ones that are unattainable. Doing this would be a delicate balance between keeping the peace between the veteran uber players who have helped MA by playing this game since beta and the new players who are just as anxious to play 24/7 and deposit into MA’s pocketbook. But, nonetheless, I think some more faps should be made available… the old ones will still keep their place as the kings of the jungle while the new ones can be cunning replicas that the “new wealth” of PE could aquire.

I think the mod fap is worth 360 PED’s fully repaired, and the imp 280..

But it was so long ago I owned those babies.. that I don’t remember

mod is 330 and imp 280

As I see it its good to have some items that you can only dream of having. Like a carrot that keeps the donkey going if you know what I mean.

The thing Im tired about tho is noobs with 40 agility that is “experienced” or better in profession… I would like to see the skill-selling system vanish, but I doubt that will ever happen.. So Ill just take good care of my scanner and remind my self that they were supposed to be more noob then me

I think buying skills is a necessary evil… but that’s another post. In any event, it matters not to me if some noob has 3k in rifle b/c he bought his skills… he certainly looks every bit the noob when you notice his hp’s are only 100 :silly2:

so stop reading EP? It looks like the majority of noobs have not found this forum yet

2 pages of responces, nice

I don’t think buying skills is a necessary evil… it makes a lot more sense and gains satisfaction to gain skills myself, imho. I mean, skills and items are different things after all. Now, since even skills can be bought, everything in PE speaks money language. But hey, that’s life. It’s good to know that when I retire PE, I can sell off my skills and withdraw money. Keeps me motivated.

On n00b subject:

Well, I think noobs should have more possibilities to become productive members of society. I mean, yes, they used to work as runners - now, with VU 6 and 7, they can’t outrun a plumatergus. So that job is out of the question.

They used to compete for their employers in the oilrig races. But the PKers these days are so uber, that a noob can’t even survive 1 mile away from the rig.

Sweating - became totally unprofitable. MA should implement more MindForce features, useful to elite players, so that sweat prices would rise again, as sweat comes high in demand. I highly hope sweat will be useful in taming.

What pisses me off most in noobs are 2 other things:

  1. Scammer mules. You know, then mediocre, non-noob players, create false noob accounts, second accounts to scam people or beg for money.

  2. Rude noobs. Who just come up to me and trade me, then start offering me shit, or asking “I’m poor give me money now”. No introductory speech, no nothing.

This is a problem in every MMORPG I’ve played… I don’t know how someone with even half a brain would think it’s a good idea to run upto random people to trade, show them your stuff, get yelled at for being an idiot, and move on to the next person.
Damn weirdos.

Oh and about skill buyers… As I told Svetlana, I think everyone who buys skills should be forced to wear pink shoes.
Big ugly neon pink shoes!

Oooh yes Zarathustra … something that says “Hey, I paid good money for skills I didn’t earn” would ROCK :tongue2: Seriously, I do think skill sales serves the all-important market for cashing out of game legally, and I have no problem with it anymore.

Now… some1 brought up sweating… ARGH! Don’t get me started on sweating! I think newbs are so freaking fortunate to have the ability to sweat in the first place. If we enable them to sweat more, or sweat sales to rise insignificantly, then we might as well just admit that this little game we play requires ped to have fun (which we all know is true but we have to find that fact out for ourselves). And if we’re giving away ped for free let’s just give ppl items for free too… and while we’re at it, let’s just charge a monthly fee and every1 will be happy b/c every1 can attain anything and everything for one low cost
Hmmm- nope. Not PE. Keep sweating the way it is. Perhaps initiate more uber faps and weapons for the rest of us to loot. But that’s it imo…
