Mayhem Vendor Restock and Additions

Greetings Colonists,

We will be doing a restock of the Mayhem Vendor soon (details in this announcement), and as part of this we will be adding a few new items to the vendor - which you may have already noticed.

Apartments[/HEADING]
You will now be able to purchase various Calypso Apartments from the Mayhem Vendor. These apartments come in different types, ranging from Type A through to F. These types refer to the layout, size, and whether or not it has a balcony.

You can see examples of these apartments by heading to any of the major apartment complexes on Calypso, such as Bilton Towers or Chikara Condos, for example.

After purchasing a voucher for an apartment, you must create a support case requesting to exchange the voucher for the deed. You will not be able to pick which apartment/block location you get, you will receive an apartment of the correct type for an apartment on Calypso (apartments are identical by type).

In addition to Apartments, we will be making three Land Areas purchasable through the Mayhem Vendor. Each Land Area requires a set number of Fragments to purchase, which themselves are purchasable for tokens and rares. Like the apartments, the Land Area Vouchers must be exchanged via a support case to receive the relevant deed.

This sounds like virtual government housing not something youd see in a “free market”.
Everyone in real estate knows location location location. Not all are equal.

Wow. Well this isn’t real estate. No one gives a shit if the appartment faces east or is on floor 13 because we have televators. It is a tiny storage you can decorate when you don’t have money to shoot stuff.

It is a way to move them into player hands, they have been there forever. They are just for fun and have no value just like all other estates in the game except my beach house which is worth 20k.

Edit: Also there is full transperancy on the lotto

Edit 2: I can’t get over the comment. Here are some reasons why location matters:

  1. I want kids to have a good school, judging by player base EU and education doesn’t exist in the same universe.

  2. I want to feel safe. I don’t think any of the apartments were in pvp 4?

  3. I don’t want a long commute. Guess what? TP chips still a thing.

  4. I want access to social gatherings. In EU, the only social gathering is SK, equally afar from all estates.

  5. I want a quiet neighborhood to not get my sleep interrupted. In EU I turn off sound.

  6. I want to brag to my friends. Guess how many people are impressed by my fake beach house?

Im sure this is good news and alot of Top players are excited to hear this in fact i genuinely want to be happy about the Mayhem Token Trader being re-stocked after being empty and useless for a longtime but when i checked my mayhem token & Rare mayhem token balance just now it said -0 and that made me very sad. So um.. well yea have a nice day

Well mine too, however, if they restock enough and give people outside Russia a chance to pull the items then there might be incentive to participate in Easter mayhem.

Maybe im wrong but last Mayhem kind of showed what people with ped think about LA-s. There was barely any market for FFA Stars. Putting up some LA-s is good but mechanics inside LA need to be upped and worked on.

Refill of exceptionals is good, but there should be unlimited supply, so M-tokens is the limiting factor

q2: what is so special about those LA’s that cost in terms of Mtokens a fortune?

opinion: if the LA’s are not part of the Mayhem chain as LA’s where we can see the Mayhem mobs spawned during them is a waste of money, hunting effort and good opportunity. I believe the LA’s that are acquired thru Mayhem vendor should be part of Mayhem 100%, also outside Mayhem the mobs should reflect the owner’s perspective to chose also from Mayhem vendor temporary DNA’s based on their chose, business plan and strategy. Limited DNA should be possible for a certain amount of Rare+Mtoken and to be consumable like the pills, and ultimately to give chances to purchase all mobs that exists in EU no matter the planet cause Mayhem is universal.

No, Each LA requires multiple fragments, each fragment is 50K + Rare.

50k x 20 = 1 mil tokens and 20 rares for OLA34
50k x 18 = 900k tokens and 18 rares for LA11
50k x 16 = 800k tokens and 16 rares for LA10

I don’t think that had anything to do with land areas and more to do with the format. Who is going to put 100k in not knowing if it is enough to win? The value of prizes after first one went down fast.

Would have needed a leaderboard and not the option to turn them in so we would have a race. How bout… All your stars count as points and you can’t sell them? Create incentive to compete?

When FFA had tokens and rare tokens as prizes and those were super high value because of mayhem vendor still having super high value weapons in demand, then people participated in FFA just fine. It does have a lot to do with the value of the prizes, and land areas are shite (at least at the moment, hopefully there will be a land area system overhaul as has been hinted a few months back)
