One thing that strikes me is that if the buyout was met so quickly and at least 8 other parties were interested then possibly MA priced it too low?

If the whole thing was a marketing scam, wouldn’t they have stretched it over a longer period? Why suddenly sell if people actually were pouring the required funds into the game?

and…this is an investment. I do believe that in the real world successful investments mostly have a purpose and are done only because they are made in time and using all sorts of means, just to get it right. Alot of ppl are let down and effected then, but it doesn’t change anything, it is still a business purchase which is only a deal of two parties (if it’s a deal of two parties) and not a deal of a whole universe.
I agree that it might have been a little unfair, but I will put it in the light most of you usually do, when you read whines of noobs: only the strong survive. if you are not able to deal with it, quit

I dont know him personally, but I do know of him. I never see him in game…but I’m sure there are lots of people I never see in game. He lost out on the TI bid…so no doubt he had some peds. He also forfeited (of his own free will I assume)one of the land cabins because of the “He is getting favors” outcry. I would also imagine he gets royalties from MA for “Gamer chick” music…maybe MA pays in peds? Anyway …ALL is just speculation…lets see what the upcomming interview gives us.

SO the company mentality comes first. I’m sure Neverdie, actually the person, has a lot of time invested in PE so he’ll do good with it. I’m sure Neverdie will manage the area well and keep both MA and the people happy.

Who knows how Neverdie got the 1.000.000 PEDs? I don’t. You don’t. Neverdie does. Maybe he was that rich before and it took him three nights to think about it. Maybe he borrowed it from hid socmates. It’s all speculations.
And about the servers going down. When I started playing today (12.00 Europe time - Sweden included) A socmate of me said the servers where going down like three times and I didn’t had any until the big serverdowntime.

Here are my thoughts:
First I must congratulate NEVERDIE for winning the auction.
Second it makes no diference that NEVERDIE is actually a Mindark employe, where in the EULA do you see that they can’t play too ?
Anyway I don’t think that he actually is an employe at the moment, I think that he just do freelancer tasks to promote Mindark products in certain events that he attends; it is also of his interest that many people get to know one song he made in the enviroment that generate it, to show how creative he can be.
Third how to put 1 million dollars ingame in just one day:
It is quite simple in my opinion to show an option that everybody could achieve providing that it has the money.
First you needed to contact MA in the issue of bank wire transfers and ask them what trully is necessery for confirmation of the deposit.
As an example when you deposit via credit card your peds appear just after a few seconds/minutes, if you investigate you might find that MA isn’t getiing them at that moment, instead the credit card companies might actually take more than 1 day to actually pay MA, it could be fast but that would cost MA more money for the service.
If I had wished to buy anything that cost me so much money and that had a timelimit for the transaction I would personally arrange to contact Mindark by phone/fax/whatever where I would show my intest to put money ingame for a purchase but that I would require the money faster than international wire bank transfers take to be done.
One possible answer could give me and what I would expect them to give would be that all they would require was that a trustworthy bank would show the proofs of such a transfer being already done, that the transfer between countries would be approved, and that the time where their bank account should be updated with the ammount deposited and tranfered to MA.
Then either they have already a process to decide that player xyz should get a specific ammount of PEDs or they could create a PED Certificate and suply me with the information require to use it.
This entire process would only take 2-3 days, and if your bank is efficient just some hours (with that ammount of money I’m pretty sure that you can find such a bank).
And since they already know the person and think he is trust worthy I can’t consider any reason why they would have doubts in such a process.
What I don’t understand is why Deathifier didn’t do the deposit this way 
I can’t believe if put this way into MA perspective that they would refuse.
Either Deathifier didn’t ask them the correct way or I think MA is going the wrong way.
I certainly wouldn’t do it in any other way if the ammount was over 50000 US Dollars.
And an other option would be to fly to Sweden go to the MA’s bank and deposit there directly.
It also only takes a day but I wouldn’t do it unless we would be talking of something at least over 1 million dollars.
