I believe that ND actually bought this… And MA have got good buisiness sense, of course this is hype, it works, EVERY SINGLE (SUCCESSFULL) COMPANY in the world uses hype.

MA have been approached by 8 parties - approching MA would be hard to do INGAME wouldnt it.
Do you really think someone who would be willing to invest such a large amount of money into this game would just plop it on his card and buyout in auction without being in direct contact with the company with whom he is effectively going into partnership???
I for one would want to speak to the company to get assurances that I’m not just pissing away $100,000. It seems entirely reasonable that this has been bought out in a manner recognising the massive investment that has just been made.

I understand where your coming from with these statements and I’d be surprised if he payed the full 100k but still I’m sure it wasnt a gift maybe he got a little ‘frendly’ discount - either way I feel happy its gone to a known trusted player and not some ‘investment’ co. or hell worst case senario would have been to some advertising co.

Why should he get discount?
This sale has of course something to do with marketing. We all know that. Anyway, it is only the start of sale with virtual land in computer games and I am sure it will gather loads of attention from newspapers and tv stations around the globe. I really don’t think MA would be that stupid and make this false. They are planning to make PE as long-term and now also get much more ppl to join when servers will be ready to recieve the masses.
My guess is that this is only a start on the million trades we will see in the future though.
