I prefer shrap

Give me 101% any day over these useless items and materials I’m looting that can’t even sell at 100.5%
What’s the point of DPP efficiency when crafters aren’t buying mats anymore?
What’s happened to this game? Is everyone hunting and crafting their own stuff?
Everyone’s turned into a Rockefeller?

Well good for you, I personally very much enjoy the markup that covers my losses.

Must be challenging reading past the first line.

Those materials are rare and the market fluctuate on them. Keep an eye out now that people will do snowbase and umbranoid followed by mayhem. Those 100.5% materials will all be well above 101%. The exception being very few materials that aren’t used.

For items sure. No reason to loot 1.0 swords.

I mentioned this in another thread - it would be nice to have a “disassemble” option for every (L) item. Simple version: you put it into the refiner and get Shrapnel back 1:1, more controversial version (but potentially giving some MU to these useless items): disassembling could work as a loot event, with a chance to receive random items like blueprints or strongboxes.

This is not a bad idea but MA would lose that 1% they give us when we convert the shrap into ammo.

I think the only person who would take my rant as an insult is you my friend. You’ve assumed I don’t have sufficient efficiency and looter levels furthermore declared the problem is me. A quick search on such related topics would reveal the problem might not be me.

Lol how could anyone be insulted from being compared to a successful entrepreneur?

My DPP sits around the 3.8 mark. My animal looter is around 50 which is what I primarly hunt.

My issue is oils are garbage, theres no value in reselling them.

Components are rare to drop, I think like 5% drop rate. If my animal looter is 100, whats the drop rate changing to, 10%? It’s still a struggle to cover the loss from hunting.

In my last 16.5k cycle I’m sitting at a horrible 90.5% TT return.

I do blame a lot of that on hunting bigger mobs than I should have however when I drop to mobs I should be hunting, the majority of what I’m getting is wool/oils etc and I’d rather get shrap instead of that. My gun is decent its an LR-40 FEN.

Can happen
Running simillar setup and i had 89% for over 40k PEd cycled, and i didnt get a big evening out hof, just some positive runs that pulled the avg up, still about 93%

This is normal. We are at same levels pretty much with efficiency and looter, my long term expectancy sits at 96% with ~90 eff and 55 looter. I had 15k+ cycle weeks ending at low 90s since it isn’t that many kills. Along 10k kills it will stabilize somewhat but still be around +/-8% from expected (based on my own numbers, might actually be more or less).

I try to keep my average kill cost below 5 ped, preferably around 2.50-3.00 in order to rack up as many kills as possible.

But this isn’t what this thread was about, detailed in three posts ?

lol Im not sure what game you think I’m playing, you gotta chill out. I gave you the stats you requested. If you want 300k TT cycle, I’ll get back to you in a few weeks. I just came back to the game a few days ago and those are my recent stats.

I’m just not sure if I should spend more on gearing up or put the peds into looter.

So the takeaway is less loot events = lower rtp. Hunt where you’re looting between 100-150 an hour.
Going for the bigger mobs where there’s less loot events = roads to ruin.

I’ve gotta chill out?

I’m replying to a thread - not agreeing with you.

But I see, do whatever it is you do, keep at it. I am sure it will work out in the end.

Pretty much and it is boring when you have a really expensive weapon like you do. High cost is fine but it requires a much larger cycle to even out. For instance 15k ped can be 200 ROOT or 45,000 fouls. Second is pretty much guaranteed stable returns, first one might as well end 60%.

I let myself move up maturities for some mobs because of loot tables to keep the excitement to hit big and there always is a chance in the Aris instances.

Its good you’ve pointed out the difference between 200 ROOT or 45,000 fouls. I can definitely agree with this post and perhaps I need to reframe my mindset if I want to sustain at least to get my looter levels and i guess defence skills higher.

My point still stands on oils/wool suck though. No ones buying them. Heck even nanocubes aren’t selling for 100.4 anymore. Hopefully it picks up during Mayhem.

Looter does not affect to loot composition…

There has been a lot less movement on auction than normal these past few weeks but it will hopefully pick up now. During marry mayhem spleen oil was 107%.

The root vs foul example was just to show extreme examples but same principle would apply to 3 ped versus 10 ped mob. One will require three times the cycle (unless lucky).

Edit: For material drops to stabilize try to stay at least an hour on a mob.
