ok, will check it out
Questions: the recipes for even the simple starfish filet (lvl 1 basic consumable), have a chain of recipes. I hope the bps are all at technicians, but why haven’t you even got them all in your example screenie?
In the fish sauce recipe, do we really need ONE of each fish type, or just one of a type? It sounds like terrible stacking in inventory/storage if we need all.
The food grade recipe says it needs fish oil. Is that ANY of the fish types, or first refined from any of the fish types?

Also, composite planks, for example, are at the bottom of a chain of 4 bps, so given the success percentages even on maxed bps, how much must we click through, and will it cost us just for the planks, to get a successful starfish filet in this case?

I know it’s my initial look, but this looks REALLY bad on balancing, and it’s just one example…
I can see mus going up on boards, nutrios, fruit etc, but it still looks crazy for actually COOKING the stuff…
How long until the complete revamp? One week, two, a month??? (You cannot answer that I guess. Consider it rhetorical)
Another edit: OMG, 100 sweat is even in there RIGHT at the bottom of a chain! Seriously??!

This is going to be a game of its own. Looks like there’s room for F2P activities as well which is good for retention. Even reading the release on Steam felt a bit overwhelming. I think that some of the new BPs are meant to be discovered through crafting? Like the stoves themselves, the rods and their components maybe? For the recipes it clearly says they’re to be discovered while cooking.

Fishing part seem good, new profession with specific item.

Cooking look like the old craft system abandon in 2003/2004? because was too complex for player to much bp and ingredient to make final item. This way fail on the past so why do that…

Why wait, when you can be the First Entropia Master Baiter, maniqueeeeee

one of my points I edited into #2. Even if sweat is usually half returned in near successes, 100 per click at the very BASE of a chain is murderous tough.
Either f2p will see a massive boost paid for by players, or supplies will be FAR too low…

About time the storage is increased

Will pass

Have to build your own rod with 4/5 parts is a grade A on how to kill a professionals longevity

[SIZE=5]Just a question…

I suppose it all depends on how nice the buffs will be on the new food. If they’re really worth it then this could be great. But if at the end of that sample chain you get a buff with 10% increased crit damage then probably not worth it compared to a 5mg pill for example - unless it stacks? Even then …

Let’s get involved and find out

nice change gives a new way to burn some minerals and other craftable materials .

I just looking forward to “the one that got away” stories xD.

As for cooking, here is a serving suggestion

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZKLB8YAgkw

All in all, there will be new foods for the following buffs:
[ul]
[li]Divine Intervention (why, we have a chip)[/li][/ul]

missing buff for miners delight pill, and would like to see a buff for fishing.

Look closely at this diagram. Elsewhere in the same BP, only 1 sweat is indicated. So, 100 is the quantity per 100 clicks.
The same applies to the other BP with large numbers - it indicates the quantity per 100 clicks.

To get people hooked on it and grab a chip? Or stack?

Yeah maybe it is a must to have, doubt it will stack though.

well,

sorry to be the one saying it, and not without respect for the work of those involved but:

  • i expect more from the people’s imagination,
  • i refuse to think back, i move forward, we are in the 21 century
  • we use AI as companion or to do diff things
  • the game is a game of sci-fi as is described by the devs and other who promote it out in the open
  • we have smart robots invading the lands and all sorts of mechanical entities to be back to basic post-stone age fishing rods,

that’s why i think a diff perspective towards a semi-industrial fishing should be seen thru the eye of a sci-fi-AI futuristic approach, we sweat creature tho, seriously, and is more sci-fi than fishing… not to mention cooking when :

  • food can be printed, synthetized thru diff chemichal/physical methods… u know sci-fi? chemistry and
  • fishing can be done with a harpoon-spear (weapon like) to actually see the fish in front of you, as a SCI-FI design option, visible… impressive for all sorts of new and spectacular creatures, coming out of the depths, driven by signals of your presence, by releasing radiation or whatever, who attract more dangerous fish/creatures to be fished, making the player/fisherman much more aware and perhaps limited in the session, forcing him to constantly move from one place to another so as not to put himself in more and more danger. The waters should be a limited period of time conducive to swimming, otherwise you will die… partly due to the accumulation of energy, partly due to the chemical composition, partly due to the danger to the fish… SCI-FI

anyway,
