Auction rework

If you guys recall we had inventory weight, storage rework and nothing going on for auction.

You can come with the argument : you have shops but lets be honest most of the entropians dont use shops.

Thing is there are a lot more mats from loot, a lot more items to craft, new minerals and so on and we are still stuck with 30 slots in auction.

Again you can say it might affect the economy if you have to many slots i think this could work if MA make some limits on certain categories. My idea was to get between 15-20 slots per category (armors/weapons/tools/attachemets).

Also if you guys have better idea maybe they can implement them.

Even some tax rework on fee can be good tho.

no limit, let the auctions flow and the auction fees fill the loot pool

having an auction limit in a real cash economy is idiotic

Im trying to be friendly versus stupidity. Ma will like extra fee but just think someone loots 20 armor parts and put them all in auction, why would i put same price i him when my chance will be 1/21 to sale so i will always undercut all those who spam auction with same item.

i still believe global auction for all planets would be beneficial af, transfer fee removal would easilly cover itself with fees is my belief

Edit: not to mention alot of stuff that doesn’t see auction and ends in TT would be auctioned, considering how many planet specific loot there is

having remote access would be nice too

Just being able to set prices in PEC would be a big help

I’d like to see remote storage access, global auction and removal of auction fees.

Lol no fee. MA should always pay us for playing their game.

Thats a good idea actually

Now im thinking and thinking more on this.

We should be able to sale an armor set at once, set of plates and the fee should not be this stupid high.

Like… We have laser weapons and space ships but we can’t log on to eBay?

Would instantly create some mu and make most of the players get one.

yeah, that aswell, like enabling “pack deals” armor set, plate set, weapon combo etc.
like increase the fee and put it like that, would be quite beneficial for all sides as for example armors don’t even reach auction just cuz of fear of some1 buyin 1 part and breakin set.

While we are at it, add “tiers” for BPs in chunk of 10qr.

This ^

We know the system tracks values way smaller than a PEC even, so allowing access to that when setting prices would open up the auction to far more players, making it easier for people to engage with the auction at lower quantities.

higher fee is not good for a set imo, it will just push like now players to use trade or PCF trade

Fees should be set as a percentage of sale price. Allowing smaller increments in price setting will generate fees from smaller quantities that currently simply aren’t listed.

They wont lower fee. But this is a good idea.

Also I would like for them to add: Ability to leave an offer for any item it doesn’t have to be ped only that way. The seller can choose to accept or not, the offer.

Right click item you want to buy as a buyer - View available offers - Player name - Offer (list of items and ped value or whatever else).
As seller he would right click his offers on his item and - View offers - And can see player name and the offers and decline or accept.

Perhaps the seller can (using something similar to “available order items”, be able to select items he accept as part of deal, and make a note for the buyer too like X amount of ped or else he accept.

This would mean the items would be “in auction” until either the buyer cancels his offer or the seller accepts his offer or the auction has expired.
Limits can be imposed here if they want.

I also think 7 day auction sometimes feels too short. 14 days auction for certain items would be preferable.

The biggest issue with the AH system are cartels who control specific items.

[ol]
[li]If you add more AH slots to them, there wont be a need to reposition listings. Just continiously creating new ones. In between saving in AH fees, and having a chance to sell old listings at original (higher) prices, due to a spike in demand, those people will issue even more pressure on the items they control.[/li][li]If you add 20 listings per category. Cartels have 2 rules:[/li]
[li]Priority system. They will trade only the best (profit wise) items they can control.[/li][li]They never compete in between themselves (except some fake order/listing short banters in order to avoid been flagged for cooperation).[/li][li]That means, after adding 20 listings per category, they will split and cover whole of the market with the same monopolistic practices they issue only on those items they control now.[/li][/ol]
Youll have to fix the root of the problem first. Otherwise all suggestions of good will, will end up benefiting the wrong people.

Yeah one global auction without transportation fees sounds good, this will help trade across the game. When it comes to auction fees, can’t completely remove them but maybe make it so that the fee is payed after selling, not for just listing an item.

When it comes to auction slots, I often fill all of mine and still got stuff to craft or extra BPs and other items sitting around. Demand is down lately but that’s a different issue… I think limiting auction slots is kinda pointless since some probably have trading alts, maybe even more than one per. So why limit legit players?
