Is something like a “Members Diary” forum of interest ?
It would be a forum where each member could start their own private thread (Diary) called something like “Username’s Diary”, the member could then update his/her’s diary as often as he/she likes, doesnt have to be daily ofcourse, just when you feel like it.
Other members would not be able to post/comment in your private diary, only yourself can post in the thread.
Just an ordinary diary where you can post about how you spend your time in PE, getting hofs, meeting someone special, buying new items/clothes, sort of like a BLog.

I would use it as a place to let off steam about bad loots rather than the endless threads off “where did all my money go”. Defiently a good idea

Umm, forum rules apply to member diaries too, so keep the whining low, thanks.

I guess it wouldnt hurt at least to write down how hunting goes. Might be nice to read later..

Ofcourse not
Just as long as it doesnt turn into too much bitching and whining, they way ppl write it can be covered up so i doesnt sound like that.
And ppl would ofcourse write about good hunts too

if no one can post to it…what’s the point?
how will one even know if someone else has ever read it?

It simply had to be that way or otherwise it would hardly be a diary when only every 10th post would be diary writers.
I guess people can comment with PM or by giving reputation or rating. There’s also the “views” count in each thread.
Getting separate comments for posts would be nice but I dont think its possible with forum system like this. There’s plenty of free blogging systems available outside EF though.

It is indeed possible with a fully functional Blogging system completely incorporated within the forums, where other members could comment on blogs without it disturbing the actual Blog, like some “Comment/view comments” button which would have to be clicked before the comments would show.
It wouldnt be as a subforum, but as a whole new link on the top navigator bar, which would access members Blogs, with link to members Blog inside their profile and the dropdown menu when clicking a username, and maybe a “Visit this members Blog” link within posts themselfes.
Though, it would take up some server resources, i wont implement it before the server has been upgraded, which…costs money
An upgrade though would ofcourse give room for even more content of various kinds, like maybe even PE movie uploads
Let’s see how it goes with donations, or i’ll have to skip a meal now and then
As this site is running now is on me, donations would be merely for upgrades/maintenance/upgraded hosting.
