Imp/mob 5bs pretty easy.
I crafted a set of Lunar Modified - Not really easy but grindful. I like the set but I think I might not go the rest of the way until I get some use out of them.
Yeah incision plates are the easiest to get. Same total protection as 5b.
I still think scales are the easiest to upgrade on the low end of upgrades. You can get adj upgrade parts for 30-35 each, and imp upgrade parts for around 100 each i think. not sure what incision upgrades cost, but having acid i think adds to the value of scales from NI.
