like in real life, you must change to a profession that works over time. IRL you probably should not work at a fast food restaurant without some sort of advance to management or moving on to another profession eventually. It sucks but not all professions in game should exist and mindark should likely eliminate about 50% of all items in game related to dead professions and compensate with tt value plus 10% to make up for it or something.
If you can give a good description I will add it to OP. I dont have too much experience in that field (but I do have some idea of what you mean) so I dont think I would do the best job with description. ?
Thats great but in RL professions die and then new ones come up. What happened here is like 10 proffessions died and basically nothing new came in to make up for it.
Oink ya honey and not sure we should take rl as example for working markets since they fail the regular ppl pretty much… employes get less and less for example MC donalds . there your ment to earn around 125.000 for the company while u get only like 25.000 payed. and this gets more extreme with any circle since the numbers need to rise . short u get less wage for your work … + social issues we got planetwide . i am trying write a book about the stuff in the future … it will also explain why the dating market is down and why good guys are screwed , why ppl tend to end alone & depressed by default and so on … + some humor and solutions and options … so give me some time there xD
ehh i would love todo it but i got atm not enough head space for another little project … i would like to step back first and see if any other wanne come forward … if not will i do the work i guess ![]()
Not sure 100% but do you both refer to trading as a profession?
If so it is a complex subject that brings in many factors, trading requires enough mark up to skim 1-5% or buy when low and sell during period of demand (resource mayhem for example). Over last few years there seems to be a large increase in supply, along with falling demand within game; which ofc has pummelled many mark ups for filler resources into the dirt. This in turn affects traders as the time and investment no longer worth buying up the slack, less spam buyers in trade chat.
From this we can expand on main reasons this has happened, but i fear would create a conflicting discussion/argument between what is good for game, along with what increases MA’s rake (turnover). Being good for the game does not always equate to maximising MA’s bottom line, such as hunt bots/macro’s in instances which are good for MA (turnover/decay), however not as good for game in over supply of resources (thus affecting mark ups).
It is indeed a complex issue.
i was talking about pets and the tamer profession at this point =) …
and about rl econemy and how the system fails anyway . have a look here maybe
Doesnt need to be detailed. Just what affected the profession, how, and whats the outcome. Like 6-7 sentences is enough. I also wrote it just simply to make the point.
EDIT: I made a short description on how Taming was affected. Let me know when you have a better one ![]()

And MA doubles down, and implements autocraft. (And to my surprise some of the elite hunters are happy about it, because that way they dont need to interact in the economy in any other way - which is pretty shortsighted).
I think most people in that category run Auto craft for one reason and that is to increase HP, tailoring is quite ok for that once you have
unlocked Industrialist and Glamor.
I agree with everything and spot on except for this with the autocraft. Isn’t the burning up of more resources faster a good thing for markups? Like say some wealthier players who run high EP on auto didn’t do that then those nanocubes would go on the market and lower nano price and therefore everything else in turn. MA even made blueprint drops a bit less for autocrafting which was a good balancing decision (I rarely get to say this so wanted to try it out ? ).
uhm sorry lots is going on rl here and a lot more … anyway tbh the pet situation is way worst … remind u pay for food when u spawn the pet + a extra for a buff . yes active buffs add food cosumption wich have even a MU ( sorry to all fruit colectors and so on … i dont wanne talk shit and downplay anything , its not my kind ^^ )
to sum it up pets are shit compared to rings and items for the most cases … no matter the affoer the need to be tamed or to keep … a last sad example as killer argument ? sacred kongs ! … and now give me time and space to cry as tamer …
okay captain poopy pants. i think you missed my sarcasm there… should i add to help you understand better next time?
The most useful UE5 has been in my opinion is to keep hopes alive - which in a German saying is the last thing to die.
In English I think it’s that hope springs eternal, but once a screwed up UE5 comes out, I don’t know about that!
I can understand why kicking the can down the road (or 323 cans? :p), and not implementing EU5 for as long as hope still has an effect on enough people, might be the best strategic move.
Enough has gone wrong, and would presumably continue, for doing almost nothing to be the better move at the moment…
No need. Sarcasm is a form of wit, and no matter what markup or smileys some use, they can never master it.

Yes MA mismanaged in what is still the only game of its kind to truly exist, they listened to the wrong people, and they lost the plot around 2010. Afterwards MA didn’t have to do anything, just a bunch of shills on Twitch stating false / misleading information and the game has never been able to grow since (we had a massive influx of players after 2011/2012 and then numbers have been off a cliff ever since)-- people explain Entropia from before 2010 and act like that system still exists and people leave as soon as they see they were swindled.
