First off - I’ve been a long time reader of EF and this is my first post! Because I can’t play PE at work I find myself browsing the forums all day.. oh and doing alittle work.. :laugh:
Now, my question is: I recently had an 1800 PED Manufacturing HoF. It was about my 4th try making shoes (ever). It was a full tt value shoe and 6 emeralds worth 1.8k PED. This was very exciting and I’m glad that I finally had a nice HoF.
Now what should I do with the cash? I was thinking about getting a better gun. Currently I use an A3 Just. Mk IV. This has been working out fairly well for me and I’m actually pretty happy with it. But what other guns would be worth it to buy? Mk V? Adjusted Hero?, ML-35? DOA?
Or should I purchase skills? Perhaps hold on to the cash till the next VU to see how crafting is?
Bottom line.. what should I buy? Is the Mk V so great that its worth upgrading from a IV? I would prefer a laser gun because my laser tech skill is much higher than my BLP but that doesn’t mean I have to get a laser.
I would say either buy armour…and use the rest to hunt…
Or just take 1k peds… and start hunting. I mean Start with a fully repaired gun and fully repaired armour… and go hunting until your gun breaks. Then go in and repair and start again. Go Large… and your chances of getting a bigger hof is even bigger.
Hmmm.. didn’t even think about an armor upgrade. Currently I am in Vig.. however I am fairly happy with it atm… and I don’t like the look of Nemesis. Plus there are too many nem armors running around!
I kind of want a new toy though I am thinking gun…
See … the adj hero just doesn’t have that great of specs in my opinion.. Decay must be awesome? The 10 ammo burn is nice.. but not that great. Reload speed doesn’t seem that good either..
same as said above, hunt with the 1k PED’s and then trade with the 800 PED and make some more money. If you’re happy with you’re current gun i wouldnt bother buying a new one, unless you want to hunt bigger mobs or just kill the current ones faster.
Well done on that HOF in auction container in Omegaton city. I just logged in to see you hopping in glee together with your soc friend that loaned you the BP. You lucky, lucky bastard… lol.
She was a good sport, and only had kind words to say about your HOF after you logged out. What to buy, hmm.. well you could spruse up your apt/house with a vast array of household goodies from my 3 boots over at the Epsilon mall (first building south of Omegaton TP, all my workers wear green uniform).. :tongue2: shameful plug - stay tuned for more plugging…
use some money to repair the gear you have, mk4 is a good gun, even tho its slow. hunt your ass off and build AGILITY. skills can be bought at any time. agility is key. me and jove started at same time but hes got something like 82 agility and i got 64, even tho we’re both the same prof standing. ive hunted more but hes skilled more. the future ubers will be those that learn from both their mistakes and the mistakes of others. this is what will really put you ahead of the curve =D
Da Celt- It was nice talking to you in-game. Its nice talking to the people you see so often outside your apartment. I also took a look at the mall where you have the 3 shops. Saw some interesting things.. maybe we can hagle on the price a bit
Now to the one thing that really gets under my skin. Getting PKed right outside of my apartment. Now I know that Amethera is technically all PvP and anything goes on that continent. Its really nothing more than an inconvienance - but it really bothers me!
Last night I was CRAFTING.. at my normal spot and someone shoots me… unarmed.. no armor.. back turned and crafting. And I can’t count how many times someone has killed me while running to my apt!
Which brings me to my next point… defending myself What is a great PvP gun that I can actually be a threat? I have around 3k to spend on it.
And as far as taking the money and buying ammo and hunting… whats the fun in that? If I want to do that I’ll just deposit another $100

And Hyrbrid,if I was gonna spend 2k peds on something it would be hunting longus for hours and hours.Mk4 is nice on most of them :tongue2:
Knuckles- I do like to hunt the longu I usually hunt them in “Outback Land 5”. Perhaps I will give that a try.
Also.. I would like to get my HP up. I know in the past you could just go skill axe and get loads of HP but I hear that is no longer the case. Is axe the only way to get HP?

Every skill (at least most) gives HP, it just so happens that skills gained through hunting with axes are some of the skills that give most hp, and axe’s are very efficient to hunt with, if you’re below ~2-3K in LB you could still gain skills from axe hunting, and due to the high dmg/pec you have a relatively high chance of breaking even.
And Nemesis is all over the place for a reason :dunce:
Your gun doesn’t need upgrading at the moment, but maybe a good amp?
Fancy clothes would be fun, but realise that if you buy tailored ones they will allways go down in price, meaning you can’t sell them back for what you bought them for. :wise:
And if you go hunt till you’ve lost 1.8k PED in longu land, well akoz’ll be pleased :silly2:

I second that.
I have an adjhero, and it is a VERY good gun for most medium level (like midlevel trox and such) mobs… i like to think of it as an upgraded mk2
Also it is tied with Imk3 for #3 most efficient laser carbine ingame (#1 Imk2, #2 Mk5ME)
The only drawback is the low dmg, but amp it and youll be set! Also the price is a bit up there, at about 2k ped… i got mine for 1999ped (tt+1549) full TT.
