I live in Western Australia and I cant get a ping time less than 400ms. I have tried with all different ISP’s and tried everything from a 33k dialup modem to a 24mbit dsl connection and I still dont get better than 400 ms ping time…
What I would like to know is where do you live - and what ping times do you get ???
It depends on how long I set the Microwave to run for…![]()
I live in WA also - I get 450 - 500 ms ping time on a 1.5 mbit dsl line.
What do you want me to Ping? :dunno:
LOL, +rep, smart ass. ![]()
Always willing to participate in research… but I dont understand what is to be tested. Just let me know, and if legal I will do it ![]()
That was sort of my unwritten point as well. :wtg:
Well this is a forum about entroipa universe - so I mean your ping times to project entropia…![]()
Try this in a dos prompt - ping rp.project-entropia.com
Let me know your ping times, where you live and what type of connection you have..
Location: Estonia
ping time: 15; 17; 17 ms
3Mbit ADSL
I have played that game also when my ping was 1500-2700ms, it took a lot of patience
[COLOR=“DarkSlateGray”]334-768ms
NextG Wireless Broadband SuperG Fast 3gig
Girraween, West Australia…
My connection fluctuates however…
Pinging rp.project-entropia.com is pointless, that is not where the game servers are located. instead do a trace to: 62.4.93.231 (rp1.entropiauniverse.com)
Most of my pings and tracerts end up with “request timed out.”…
62.4.93.231 (rp1.entropiauniverse.com) times out, but
rp.project-entropia.com : between 28 and 34 msec. Location : Netherlands
I pinged this address from Luxembourg: rp.project-entropia.com

like m000 said, you want to enter the command (in “command prompt” window) “tracert 62.4.93.231”. This is where the game servers are located. Don’t use the “ping” command, because the server blocks icmp requests and you’ll get no response. Using tracert you can see the pings up until near the last hop, on location at the facility where the servers are located.
pinging rp.project-entropia.com is useless since that is to some server in sweden.
I’m in southwestern USA and my pings are about 141ms.
Western US, about 175 ping for me
16 ms. Tried several times and all come out that way.
Running this tracert I got up to 25 ms in the end, before it timed out. One bottleneck in DK pushed me into the 100-200 ms, though.
I live in Sweden, got a 30 mbit down/30 mbit up connection.

When I did the tracert, there were 22 “pings” and the total time was 899. Dont know what this means.
I am in Maine, USA with a DSL connection. So… is this good or bad?
