What is Spina Armor?

Spina armor was introduced as part of the Spina missions and is also currently the hardest armor to attain, involving a long and extremely difficult mission chain, collecting an immense amount of rare materials, and crafting of said materials. Firstly, here are the stats:

To get the armor, you will need to follow a bunch of mission chains, get blueprints at the end of the final mission in the chain, and then collect spina materials (uncommon item drop) in order to attempt crafting the armor. The sequence is roughly as follows:

  1. In camp echidna, speak to the NPC and follow the mission leading you into the Spina Cave. Fight through hoardes of spina and ultimately kill the broodmother in her nest. This will unlock the next mission in the chain. A team of high DPS hunters is needed to accomplish this.
  2. The next mission requires you to find a rare item, RDI Cybernetic eye, in order to access the crashed mothership. RDI Cybernetic Eyes drop from Spina Nobles (either Drone or Soldier) and drop at a rate of roughly 2 per week. Spina Nobles are extremely dangerous, and require a very high level hunter to grind them successfully.
  3. Once you have your Cybernetic eye, you can attempt the Spina Queen mission in the crashed mothership. This part of the mission limits the team size to 6 people and has an extremely high level of difficulty. At present, there only a few societies with people able to finish the mission. Hardcore currently offers a service to carry players through the mission.
  4. At the end of the mission, you can speak to the NPCs at Camp Echidna to receive your Regicide Coat and your choice of 1 of the 7 blueprints to make the armor. If this is your first time completing the mission you are given a 5 attempt blueprint, otherwise, you’re awarded 1 attempt of your choice.

Now that you have the blueprints, it’s time to start collecting the materials to make the armor. To make the harness for example, you will need the following:

12 x Spina Royal Carapace
120 x Spina Drone Carapace
100 x Spina Soldier Carapace
160 x Spina Worker Carapace
3 x Pristine Fused Bioplating
750 x Basic Sheet Metal
100 x Surface Hardener Component

Royal Carapaces are an uncommon drop from Broodmothers across Eudoria and in the Spina Cave, and the other carapaces drop from Drone, Soldier, and Worker respectively and are also an uncommon drop.

The Pristine Fused Bioplating can be crafted from a blueprint that drops on completing daily spina missions at camp echidna. After completing roughly a week’s worth of missions (including the Broodmother cave) you are invited to complete a mission called “Black Box Down”, which awards 10 attempts of the bioplating and 2500 Blazar Fragments. The bioplating blueprint requires the following materials:

100 x Spina Worker Carapace
100 x Spina Drone Carapace
100 x Spina Soldier Carapace
1 x Kanerium Ingot
100 x Pristine Spina Carapace

So now let’s do some maths … the average success rate for crafting is 42%. This average is usually over 1000s of attempts, but for the sake of argument, let’s base the calculation on this and ignore luck needed for lower amounts of attempts. To make enough bioplating for 1 attempt of of a harness, you will need about 750 of each carapace in the blueprint ingredients. To get a success on the harness (again, ignoring luck) this equates to about 2000 of each carapace, and 36 royal carapaces (plus the other materials).

To say that this is an epic undertaking is a bit of an understatement. But at the end of the day, if you manage to get through all of this, then the reward is the most epic armor ever released.

If someone want to start the journey, I can provide the BP’s.

Photon, I appreciate you sharing all this, it is nice to find out “how to” in an easy and convenient way as just opening your thread. I will pm you with some carapaces if you still need them. ??

is there a guide for the spinas

What do you need to know? You can go to entropia wiki website or you can download EntropiaInfo app on your phone. I have finished codex on workers, drones and now will start soldiers. If you need anything and I can help shoot me a dm.

Thanks! What’s the damage? Where’s the maturity? And where’s the missions etc

Workers cut/stab/impact
Drones acid/penetration/stab
Soldiers impact/penetration

Workers maturity from young/mature/old/dominant/old alpha/prowler.

Drones maturity young/mature/old/old alpha/alpha.

Soldiers maturity young/old/guardian/dominant.

Locations: east of east scylla you’ll find drones mature and young and some old, workers from young to dominant and a spawn with soldiers and broodmother young at the crash site. Again, just go East from East Scylla.

North of Ashi you’ll find workers higher maturities, further N-N-E a bit you’ll find Drones higher maturity and further up N-N-E a little more there is another crash site with soldiers higher maturities, but beware, they hit hard.

East of camp Echidna you’ll find soldier youngs.

Hope this helps, also you can refer to calypsomap.com and EntropiaInfo application on your phone.

Good luck.

FYI, Soldiers don’t do pen damage (y)

Soldiers are:

Impact, Cut, Stab (Heavy on the impact)

They do no Pen and no Acid, I’ve tested this with AP plates.

I’ll need to 100% confirm the stab and cut piece though, I’ve not tested decay on those plates yet. But given Perf Gorg is heavy Imp, and good stab and cut with some acid (which isn’t dealt) and I get deflecteds all the time, pretty sure Imp/Cut/Stab is correct.

There is a slight possibility it’s 100% imp, I’ll know when I test further. I have only stab APs to test with atm.

Stab confirmed, decay on the stab plates.

Wow… that certainly is an epic amount of work. Thanks for the insight. MA really need to add some old timer rewards. Kill those buggers for 3 hours, here’s your armour. Anything more than that… I’ll leave to the kids. (Kid is anyone younger than 30 at my age of reference).?

Blimey I could be accused of talking about the original EU. Shoot for few hours, bang…a loot window full of goodies, even if it was mostly tt-able.

Great job mate, you make me interesting for have this set?May i ask please how much you think fair value full Spina set?

Yes.

Je pense beaucoup moins que ce que vous devrez dépenser en éducation pour terminer la mission
