(Verse 1 – Day 1)
She rode in on a glitch in the code one dusty mornin’,
Nora the Explorer, with fire in her eyes.
From Camp Icarus she set out walkin’,
Headin’ south to Nymphtown ‘neath them virtual skies.
No sweat on her brow, no fear in her stride,
Just a dream and a map, and the call of the wild inside.
(Chorus)
Oh, Nora, Nora, where’d you go?
Out there chasin’ horizons in the Calypso glow.
We’re ridin’ the dunes, searchin’ high and low,
Prayin’ you’ll come back, darlin’, don’t you know…
We’re waitin’ on word from Nora the Explorer.
(Verse 2 – Day 2)
First night by the river, she watched the water run red,
Stars glitchin’ overhead like forgotten dreams.
Second day she followed that twistin’ stream,
To a tiny patch of land in the middle of the green.
Just her and the current, no bots, no fight,
But somethin’ in the silence felt a little too right.
(Verse 3 – Day 3)
Third day pushed harder, past the rocky rise,
Made it to that outpost near Fort Argus walls.
Robots came howlin’, metal teeth in the skies,
But the colonists stood tall, answered the call.
They pushed ‘em back with fire and sweat,
Saved our girl that day—least that’s the bet.
(Verse 4 – Day 4)
Fourth day she ventured farther south, brave as can be,
Close to Camp Echidna, where the shadows run deep.
Then the beast came crashin’, big as a freight train,
Lookin’ like a dinosaur from some ancient sleep.
Surrounded and hunted, she fought with her might,
But the jungle went quiet come fallin’ of night.
(Bridge – Day 5)
Fifth day dawned empty, no tracks in the sand,
No signal, no whisper, just echoes across the land.
We all grabbed our gear, hit the trails in the rain,
Callin’ her name through the fog and the pain.
Every hunter, every miner, every soul on this rock,
Is out there still lookin’, refusin’ to stop.
(Final Chorus – slower, fading)
Oh, Nora, Nora, where’d you go?
Lost in the pixels where the wild winds blow.
We’re ridin’ forever, through the highs and the lows,
Holdin’ out hope that someday you’ll show…
Come back to us, Nora the Explorer.
We’re still waitin’… we’re still waitin’…
(Outro – spoken/soft sing)
Yeah… if you’re out there, Nora, just send a ping.
One little beacon, darlin’—that’s all we need.
This universe is big, but it ain’t bigger than hope.
Come home.
