TT value of Clothes

I was thinking about the whole updating of crafting comming. And i got to thinking that i wonder what everyone thought about the cost of creating clothes along with the avg TT value they have. To me many clothes seem to cost a little to much to make resulting in a higher TT value. To me the high TT value just makes it harder for the tailor to sell there items at a descent rate. Like if a hat cost 80 PED to make and you get a tt of 70 PED you still need to sell that hat for 80+ PED. Now if that hat cost 40 PED to make had a tt of 20 PED but you could sell it for 50 i think Tailors would sell a lot more hats.
I know that some clothes should cost a lot but in general to me clothes that have realy no purpose but to help us stand out a bit from each other shouldn’t cost as much as it does. I think a lot more people would buy clothes more if crafters didn’t have to sell them at such a high price.

I agree whole-heartedly. I almost wonder why all clothes do not have the same set tt value (and a fairly low one), thereby allowing the market to dictate the prices entirely.

I think from MA’s perspective, the reasoning behind high TT clothing is because its more money for them (TT = MA’s). Its the common dilemna for marketing people. Do we keep profit margins low, hoping that this will drive the volumes up, and so we make more money… or do we make profits high, and not worry about how many we sell…

I guess they would need some marketing people to look at the statistics to decide whether or not this would be feasible.

i had never used TT+ on clothes for lvl above 3 .
and i use it even less since i skill coloring and decay clothe that got and big TT value.
cheaper for customer , and same for me , because i dont repair clothe for that.

and about selling stuff … i think some clothe cost little to mutch to make due to their lvl. like leaf beret that should be 1 or 2 lvl lower.or due to lack material and ore , like platium , ruga …

but in other hand , that how clothe work .clothe it luxe stuff , that useless , that decoration .. its something you buy because its nice.

luxe and nice things cant be cheap , there all time people preffer expensive stuff , because they are rare and they feel unique to wear it.

Yeah, items being rare can push the prices up, but let the low volumes push the prices up then, and not the high TT prices.

All i know is that crafting is wy to expensive in the first place. PE is too expensive :). So, clothes is too expensive. Nothing we can really do about it unfortunately :(.

I was hoping you would reply Etopia b/c of your expertise… and you make a valid argument.
But I’m still wondering… yes, clothes are a luxury in game and accordingly will cost a bit more money. But imagine if the tt values were lowered, or even if they were all the same tt value (or perhaps based upon lvl), surely the market would still dictate the cost.. So, regardless of tt (which as a clothing consumer in game I do not pay much attention to), there will still be ppl willing to spend exhorbitant amounts for very rare items, and high amounts for sought after items, etc… right? Wouldn’t it, therefore, behove the tailors if the tt was lowered so that they could just make those extra ped themselves?

I have to agree yet again with svet that standered tt on craftable coths would be a good idea. The tt value dose put off buyer as it would take a lifetime to decay enough to need a repair on most items
