is a quite hard thing to ask, since peoples private logs (pm’s and stuff) are stored on their pc so if they would send the whole folder at once people might give you some private information…and really, the install isnt that big, its just the update that is a bit bigger but should be done within aprox half an hour, if not, might wanna check the speed of your internet connection.
it could be to slow for Eu…

just giving some info here. ive nothing against sending files

Well you see this IS the size of the entropia client. It’ll be the same wether you download the full installer or the webinstaller. It won’t be faster even if someone sends you the installer. The speed is limited by your own connection speed, nothing else. Once you got the full installer down though, I suggest you burn it out on a DVD for later use.

Thanks for putting that up–I wanted to start playing tonight, and the official download was only going at like 17k a second. (And I’ve got a 1.5 meg fiber optic line, for god’s sake.)

You’re welcome. And this is the official download It’s just the complete installer instead of the web installer

If it is taking you that long to download the client, I would ask you to reconsider playing at all. Either you have a really bad ISP or are on a dial-up, eitherway, your chances of being able to function effectively in the game doesn’t look good. Sorry

EDIT: i see you should have a fast connection, so not sure why it is so slow. i hope it works!

Your download only took like half an hour. The minimal updating from the official site after installation took almost as long…back to 17-18k. Whoo.

Been playing for a bit. Pretty fun, given that all I can do at this point is gather sweat and poop.
