Spend, sell, or hold Unreal Tokens?

I vaguely recall a long time ago there was talk that they might convert to deeds or something once the UE port is released, but that may have just been a rumor.

I’m not really that interested in the rewards for the NH event, but I’m wondering if this is our only chance to use them and they will become worthless after the event?

If I should dump them, I’ll probably claim the boxes and sell the rest, but I’m wondering if anything else is worth grabbing - does anyone know what the creature cards are even for?

Based on what we know, their value if you want similar payouts as CLD would be something like 4-5 ped IF they start paying out tomorrow.

I am keeping mine because prior to new horizon they were 15 ped. Nothing has changed, same amount exist, same distribution. If people valued them at 15 before, they are still worth 15 to the same people. Just like the boxes will skyrocket.

Problem at the moment is poor design of the reward track making people create alts and letting low level players get way too many rewards. Once these have died out and mindarks banned the accounts as promised, we should see a correction upwards.

Assuming logic applies.

Thanks. Any ideas what the creature cards are for?

Creature cards are just a BS item to feel progression on rewards track. You never know tho so hang onto them for now buy a pitbull if you’re running out of room to stash them and other crap you got building up. Hang onto everything in this game . Skeptics right about unreal tokens being worth 4-5p few years ago based off MAs income at the time and in turn the unreal token payout. However when unreal launches a ton of people waiting to come back to the game for it will come boosting revenue for at least 6 months+. It will be safest investment in game for all time since its based off of their entire bottom line especially if they do the planet expansions still so this will give tokens/shares a higher value than they should have. I’d not sell for under 15 either if you can afford to wait a bit.

Not quite…

The same amount are supposed to exist overall, so what you mean is there is no dilution of prospective future payouts - thus the value should be the same whether it is MA who holds them or players.

However, the distribution will keep changing depending on who (players) own how many, as will supply and demand. But yeah, there have been calculations about the likely value compared to CLDs that are lower than the going rate.

Totally agree, holding on to the tokens and boxes is perhaps the best and most rational course of action imho. The market is flooded with those right now due to the Bonus Track event, so their current prices do not reflect their potential true values.

For the boxes, I remember a post that said that these are legacy boxes. Once their handing out stops (I assume here that these specific boxes are tied to the Unreal rollout only), they will become increasingly rare. Now other boxes with legacy content sold easily around 100 PED per pop once they got rare. Not saying that this will be the same for the Unreal boxes, but they do have some high-value content in them.

In regards to the tokens, an argument could be made along the same line of thought. Only a strictly limited amount is released around the Unreal rollout. Now, assuming that there will be 1M tokens it total (an assumption, but I remember to have read this number recently somewhere), this is 6 times less than the CLD-converted shares. If the payout scheme is anywhere close to that of these shares, then we talk about a value of a token 6 times the value of a Caly share, so easily 100 PED per token. Of course, this assumes that the token-converted shares follow the same payout scheme, and that there are much less tokens than Caly shares.

As nobody outside MA knows the real numbers, this all has to be taken with a grain of salt. But the bottomline is this: Hold on to your tokens and boxes. Selling them right now to an over-supplied market is not a good idea 101-economics-wise.

That was, however, only supposed to be for 1% of the revenue, not 50% as with Caly…

(IF I remember correctly myself that is). I’m assuming the amount MA is putting out there is thus either 1% or 1.5% if this tranche is a new one - 1 mil or 1.5 mil tokens to be converted)

Ouch … yeah, there is that. I did not see that number of 1%. You are absolutely right, I just searched a bit around now and found the same number.

Well, here goes another one of my hopes then … with 50 times less payout, and 4 to 6 times less tokens, the value of a token should be around 2 to 3 PED (assuming a current Caly share price of 25 PED). That is not a lot, indeed. Still, with the 170ish tokens one gets up to Rank 60 in the Bonus Track, that’s 400 PED plus for doing what one anyway does. Still, I would hold on to the tokens. One never knows … (hope talking again LOL)

This battle pass came out of nowhere, maybe there will be more, maybe they hand out these boxes like candy after UE5 launch… or a new improved box… Hard to say…

To the OP: You don’t spend any token in order to get the rewards on the New Horizons.

The Unreal tokens and the boxes ARE the rewards!!!

Oohh, I misunderstood - I thought the “x1 token” at the bottom meant you had to spend 1 to claim the reward. Thanks for clearing that up.

Someone just calculated it to be 8ped/token, convinced me atleast. At discord or here can’t remember

Ah well it all depends on so many factors. Are people happy with 5% ROI or happy with 3% ROI. Even tho you could just make 20% on some safe stocks in RL then deposit that money lol. Or because it’s such a pain in the ass to withdraw is it better to stash extra ped in a safe deed on EU at least while taking a break from game etc. Considering a million other factors and what I know about the game and how players act I’d say it could even hit 25-30p each after unreal drops then start to fall off depending on if MA can keep the returning players around or not. This is why million people buying them for 8p each its basically impossible to lose on that price. Even tho it makes no sense
