Some ideas I'd like some opinions on....

Ok, so mining is my primary focus in PE right now. But theres some simple suggestions I have for MA to make a miners life a little less stressful and I’d like to hear any other opinions. (nothing major or excessive, just simple things to make life easier)

  1. An in-game calculator. (Sure, it’d help out tons of people, but as a miner it’d help me deciding sell values on ore/matter)

  2. Claim Rods as dots on the radar. (pretty self explanitory, just give them there own colored dot and let them show up so you can kinda visualize where you’ve got claims.)

  3. Range Finder. (some small device like the scanner, you point at say a claim rod or a mob click it, tells you your exact range. Sure, we could calculate on coords, but thats a pain.)

  4. ore extractors that repeat cycle until depleted or unequipped. (sure, some people use auto-clickers, but I’d like to avoid that whole line of thought. I really think in a technologicly advanced world, the machinery would be smart enough to do something like this)

  5. Bookmarks/waypoints. (just a way of flagging a location in the game, preferably with a small note, and getting an arrow to point ya that way.)

  6. Team mining (maybe give a small bonus to working as a group to scout an area, I dunno but just an idea some friends were talking about.)

Thats all of them that I can remember, but I’d love to hear what people think of them, and any other ideas that I left out.

I would use all of these..ESPECALLY the Bookmark feature. to not have to find things by Loc would be SOOOOO nice (as it takes me 3x as long to figure out the loc)

I would like all of those too. Also a small notebook you could carry in your inventory and write on to would be useful.

Those are great ideas. Things I have wished I had in game many a time, and I have only been playing for three weeks. At the top of that list the range finder, and a notebook for marking deposit locations. Come on MA time for a little mining patch

quite so!

indeed, I can’t imagine that a setting so technologically advanced as PE would be missing at least some of these ideas, such as the ‘bookmark’ function (set a point in the map, and an arrow on the radar points you that way) the team mining, maybe. I mean, what’s there is what’s there, whether you’re searching alone or with 67 people. (imagine having to split that! ick.) But an extra pair of eyes can find what the first person missed, so it kinda makes sense, too. And the other ideas would certainly make life easier on the average joe out there trying to make a living from the earth.

Good points - all of them.

I personally would like to see the map window NOT open when you click on a deposits claim, I wish this was seperate. Also better zoom on the map and a direction arrow or marker showing on the map what direction you are in…

Great ideas!

Think all the ideas are great… i would like to add another one.

The Zoom of the map is limited… i wish ther were like 5 bars instead of 3. And up there you could apply the bookmarks like dots/flags/ (whatever you want).

lol reapes

We wrote the kind the same in a different way!

WHY aren’t we able to buy a electricfense to keep mobs of us when we extract

either limited.. or decaying

lmao Dannei!

That’s good idea… many ppl have here great ideas , but does MA give a look what is going on in here? I hope they do read , cause if something need to be changed , they better ask our opinion

Some sort of mob repellent is a good idea, but it may be abused by hunters.

the repeat task item was something I was going to write to MA about including, I see no wrong in making a labour intensive but mind numbingly boring task made easier by run to depletion (especially in manufacturing!)

The game is primarily supposed to be enjoyable experience but sitting in front of the component machine for 4 hours clicking the mouse every two seconds will just make me go to the funny farm, something I’m sure the game was intended to do!!!

Yep, should be a built-in function.

  2. Claim Rods as dots on the radar. (pretty self explanitory, just give them there own colored dot and let them show up so you can kinda visualize where you’ve got claims.)
Yep, blinking dots on radar, have always wanted this

  3. Range Finder. (some small device like the scanner, you point at say a claim rod or a mob click it, tells you your exact range. Sure, we could calculate on coords, but thats a pain.)
Skill related (RDA?), activated automatically when you use a scope would be nice.

  4. ore extractors that repeat cycle until depleted or unequipped. (sure, some people use auto-clickers, but I’d like to avoid that whole line of thought. I really think in a technologicly advanced world, the machinery would be smart enough to do something like this)
Auto-extractor, auto-crafter devices should be available in TT, set them to run for a set number of iterations, good for your wrists and some decay for MA also.

  5. Bookmarks/waypoints. (just a way of flagging a location in the game, preferably with a small note, and getting an arrow to point ya that way.)
    Incorporate NeoMap into the interface

  6. Team mining (maybe give a small bonus to working as a group to scout an area, I dunno but just an idea some friends were talking about.)
Tough one to do because of the delay between finding and extracting the deposit (expecially big ones)

Thats all of them that I can remember, but I’d love to hear what people think of them, and any other ideas that I left out.

All in all, great ideas, most of which have been around at least since I started playing over a year ago.
