there was a thread that i didn’t bother searching for about sharing map locations between soc mates (maybe it was a poll).
this takes the idea a step further.
you buy a ring from the TT. it is automatically programmed to the same settings as the other folks in your soc. when you wear it, it sends out a homing beacon signal, allowing them to see you on their map. when you take it off, you have privacy.
another function of it would be a distress call. when the distress call is activated , it posts a distress message in the soc chat window. something like, “Silo requests your aid. Location: Eudoria. Coords: x/y. Check your map for further details.”
the distress signal would be great if you were being RT PKed. all the sudden your soc mates show up and the fun begins.
I like the idea… although I must say that I think it would better if all society members would be automatically shown on map (and if you wished to be incognito you could do a command for such)… that way we would not need to buy something from a tt.
