We know it was developed by a “new Planet Partner”, in a somewhat different unique format with the rights to build in the Entropia Universe.
They’re a company with a long history in Entropia, or do the people tha work there have a long history with Entropia?
No ties to BiG, Neverdie, or any other known groups.
They have a background in game development.
So… who then?
ARIS is here. It’s playable. It’s full of secrets, and not just in the lore.
I will just say… and whats that important? I mean, you ask for each PP to tell you who they are? to risk their self to death threats or visits irl like happened to some MA employees? In this game we have a lot of weird and stupid persons… who they are its not important, its important what they do ingame to their moon and content…
Who ever it is they are either paying over the going rate for special attention and positioning or they are/ were once directly or indirectly associated with MA . That said, if i ever did decide to become more invested (pp status) i might then care enough to hire someone like Kroll or Hakluyt and co to find out who sits in the dark … … … .. it’s still just a game for me, and i have no intentions of becoming more invested :ROFLMAO:
Nothing good could come out of it.
It will just put some unnecessary focus on the team and it would not help anyone. Just enjoy the good content and nice MU and let the team work in peace…
Just the basic right to know which avatar we are dealing with. How would it be if MA gave the option to hide our avatar names when doing trades? it would be seriously messed up. Well this is the same situation with PP.
No, it’s not. You are consuming some content willingly and the planet partners also have the right to their privacy, shoudl they decide to stay on that route. How is it going to help you in any way knowing who is the developer team behind ARIS? If anything, it will make it worse for them, as some woudl still continue consuming the content while others would find some reasons not to or start a new hate train for reasons unrelated to actual content…
Assuming that it still requires having a business entity to be a planet partner, anonymity of its executives is somewhat of a legal grey zone. There are only some countries which allow such constructs at all, and typically there are certain types of businesses seeking such opportunities. I’m not meaning to say that this is wrong in principle, but it does raise questions. Personally, I would like to know at least in which country this business is registered and whether this matches the country/countries of residence of its leadership.
There could be a reason why they don’t wanna get known by us, maybe it’s some good reasons maybe not. Open communication and information is a thing that never existed in Entropia Universe so this is nothing new. It sure leaves wide open room for speculation but at the end that’s gonna do/change nothing, we gotta accept it how it is.
Right, if people ask questions about or spend time examining anything shady in this game, they stop depositing MU for you to collect. I can see how that’s no good for you. Best if everyone keeps their heads down and pretends like this is normal.
Ok lets put it this way. With player trades by knowing who we trade with helps to keep scamming and cheating in check to some extent. We can’t do much if we do get scammed by someone e.g. can’t name and shame on forum but we can not trade with that person again. This adds accountability because it means if you scam there may be consequences. Yes, it’s not much but it means it’s better to have a good reputation in game.
Now with the PP situation try and look at the bigger picture i.e. not just ARIS. If we do know who a PP is in terms of their previous avatars actions and reputation in game it means there is still a reason to keep a good reputation. It therefore helps to keep scamming in check.
With ARIS I think it’s fair to say many people like the content on ARIS but that doesn’t mean we have to compromise on our morals and ethics i.e. we don’t have to make excuses or justifications so that we continue to like ARIS.
If you read the welcome to ARIS thread John Archer already said that the Hyperion team is a small swedish company. He confirmed he was a player long ago and had to abandon his avatar to become a PP. With all the scandals that have happened in the past with long time time players getting a hold of exclusive MA/PP items. It does not matter who they are, if they wish in time to release more info then that’s on them. All you should care about is how they are listening to the players, updating and making adjustments regularly for us.
