It’s a constant source of joy to me that serendipity will present opportunities one never even realised one needed.
This early Christmas morning was one such occasion. The usual round of wishes had been exchanged with family and friends, the real world slowly eased into the quiet comfort of contentment and I decided to take some time to open a few looted boxes.
I collected the boxes from under the tree in my apartment, and in local chat typed “Merry Christmas” to what I assumed would be the usual void. To my utter amazement - a response!
“Merry Christmas. Are you on your balcony?” :oops:
I dashed out to the balcony, but the architecture secures privacy well, so couldn’t spot anyone. Turns out a neighbour four floors down has been wishing for years that he would have a balcony chat with a neighbour, and my idle chat had allowed him to achieve the goal. I used the “ninja escape” to fly down from my balcony to his on a Ripper, then joined him in his very stylish apartment for champagne and a chat.
We continued chatting while he visited my apartment as well, and for a few minutes there, Entropia was once again everything that I love about it - an actual persistent new world filled with real people to meet, befriend and share memories with.
Thanks neighbour, remain an excellent Entropian, and thank you to everyone who continues to live this amazing virtual life I have the privilege to share.
