for reference, feffoid berserkers, which have about 320 hp..
320hp / 2 dmg/pec = 160 pec required to kill, so loot must be 1.6 peds which is 0.5% of its total hp. if you can reliably get 0.75% or higher in peds of a mobs total hp, youll do well, probly even after all repair costs. higher skill does in fact mean you hunt better, as follows..
320/2 = 160, 1.6ped percentage of hp = 0.5%
…/3 = 106, 1.06ped percentage of hp = 0.33%
…/4 = 80, 0.8ped percentage of hp = 0.25%
…/5 = 64, 0.64ped percentage of hp = 0.2%
so per the above, obviously with higher dmg/pec, you need to get less loot from each mob to break even on ammo and gun decay. hm, kludge kludge kludge. but it works, shows you clearly what kinda numbers are required to break even on weapon usage based on your average performance. for those of you like myself that arent math wizards, its probly easiest to remember how it goes like this; (H/E) / H = x.x% min req
where H = mob hp, E = your average dmg/pec
my question is, does this ‘work’ for others, is this what you experience as youre running around killing the same stuff i do. it works for me. i use maddox4, lately. excellent gun. too bad i dont have excellent hg skill..
