I have been consdering buying a scanner for skilling purposes exsept of the ovious scaning skill what other skill will i get and is it worth spending the money on it or would i be better spending it on skilling?

Buy the way scanning has nothing to do with hunting 
I wouldn’t recommend skilling up scanning unless you have alot of PED’s to spend. Although, you’ll gain these skills by doing it:

-Xenobiology
-Zoology
Humans
-Analysis
-Anatomy

Scanning Animals will give you skill gains in a skill called Zoology, this skill is used for taming animals. And while scanning robots, you will gain some skills that is needed for crafting. Intelligence is also a skill worth skilling up, but unless you’re going into the crafting profession. I doubt it will do you any good.
There’s also a few hidden skills in the scanning profession, Scientist is a hidden skill used for other professions, such as healing and whipping. It’s unlocked at Marvelous human/mut… investigator
Also, by scanning humans, you will gain Anatomy. Anatomy is used in many other professions, such as healing.
I’d recommend either a ES400 or ES500 if you’re going to try to unlock Scientist.
