While tailoring yesterday I got a message about my professional standing being updated. I open my skills to see what changed and see this (apart from the blur-out):
might be the same sort of bug i have.
iv never used a whip and got the professional standing being updated thing so i looked and there it was green whiper :eek:
ill take a screen shot to night to show i have no skills what so ever in whip
Qualified Tailor was secondary, and Qualified Laser Pistoleer was tertiary. When I got the update the Qualified Laser Pistoleer was passed… by Qualified Tailor… again. :dunno:
And jena no it’s not the same bug. Professional standing is calculated from an weighted average of the skills used. You are probably a melee fighter, I’d guess longblades. You got some general melee skills to boost the average enough to show whip as your professional standing, even though you never touched a whip.
EDIT: I guess it could be from back when there were skills in both tailoring shirts and pants. I guess they were two different professions. I just wonder why no other tailor experienced this bug…
EDIT2: And apparently they are not at the same level since the second Qualified Tailor just passed Qualified Laser Pistoleer… I see forward to the day the first one becomes Trained Tailor, and I can choose between Trained and Qualified.

ye but the problem i have is that i had trained medic and gone to green whiper.
last time i looked green was lower than trained and i thought it only used your 3 most skilled things

EDIT: I misread your post. You went from Trained Medic in professional standing to Green Whipper? Did you sell any skills?
This is kinda off topic but a bug aswell. I was gonna refine some hides before and when I didnt put in any amount dividable by 3 it said that I didnt have enough Energy Matter in the refiner… Weird, maybe thought it was another bug story I dont know. Sorry for bringing your thread far off topic Sarah

I still don’t think this is the same “bug” as the one showing the “wrong” professional standing. That’s just a product of the way professional standings are calculated.
This bug is… different.
Check out the initial post, I updated it with a picture of my current standing… I am BOTH Trained Tailor AND Qualified Tailor… I just don’t get it.
