Damn, so sorry to hear
Did you have any insurance?
Oh fuck, what happened ??? I will donate right now.
Why does no one who plays this game have fire insurance? 2nd time this year…
Everyone take a hint and go buy fire insurance.
Regardless, wish you the best Hally to you and your family in this stressful time.
He did, its all mentioned in the post. This isnt to find the money to rebuild his house, but to make the right now bearable particularly for his son.

Update and Thank You
Thank you all for the incredible support.
We are now safely rehoused. It’s been a rough ride, but we’re okay. I may be down, but I’m definitely not out.
Our network and insurance have been a tremendous help, and honestly, I can’t imagine going through this without the support and care from friends and family. It has meant more than I can properly put into words.
What’s left of the house is just parts of the structure, some walls still standing, but every single personal item is gone. Rebuilding is going to be a long process, no doubt about that.
As mentioned earlier, insurance is absolutely critical in situations like this. It won’t cover everything, but it does ensure that our basic needs are taken care of for now, and that makes a huge difference.
Because of the nature of my work, I don’t receive pay for the days I’ve missed. That’s why the donations, which I humbly accept, have helped immensely. They’ve allowed me to focus fully on my wife and son, and on handling all the practical and technical matters that come with something like this.
I’ve managed to get hold of a borrowed laptop, so you’ll likely see me back in game soon. It’s a small refuge and a way for me to unwind in the middle of everything. At the same time, this has been a clear reminder of how much something like this affects you mentally. It’s important to recognize that, to reach out, and to accept the help that’s offered. I’m truly grateful to be part of a community that cares as much as this one does.
Thank you again to everyone who has reached out, helped, or even just thought of us. It truly matters.
 Ill sleep a little better tonight knowing this has been such a succes, thanks everyone!

We do have insurance and we have a strong network, we have been rehoused and we will get thru this, here and now focus has been on the basics and getting my kid back to a semblance of normality. We start working on the insurance claim this coming week. Given the nature of my work i am not payed for missed days, and this funding have allowed me to stay home and be husband and father to the people I love. And I’m very very grateful for the donations.
Yes I saw, glad you had insurance and hope the wait isn’t bullshit long.

Sorry to hear about this Hally! Good to hear you and your family is safe.
Sent a little contribution your way.
Here a thing I’ve written today, the mood is a bit sombre, but things look good, word is complete rebuild, and more than a year till we can move back.
“Untitled”
Back when the street was a teacher, not a threat
We read each other by what we’d do, not what was said
A nod could carry more than a claim ever could
You knew who stood firm, you knew who stood good
No filter, no polish, no role to defend
Just proof in the act, again and again
Now faces appear in the glow of a screen
And bonds are assembled in places unseen
A self chosen tribe in a scattered terrain
Built out of presence, returning again
No bloodline required, no history owed
Just showing up steady, and sharing the load
Integrity lives where the quiet things stay
In who answers late at the end of your day
In who doesn’t shift when the moment gets tight
In who holds the line when there’s no crowd in sight
Not loud or performed, not dressed to impress
But carried in action, in truthfulness
Online or off, it settles the same
You read people slowly, beyond what they claim
Time strips it down, lets the patterns appear
And shows who is solid, consistent, and clear
No shortcut, no mask that can endlessly last
Just traces of choices that echo the past
And somewhere within it, a lesson repeats
In taking with grace what another one meets
To stand with some humility, open and aware
That strength can be borrowed, that others can care
To accept what is given without keeping score
Is part of the bond we are building it for
So here’s to the tribe that we choose and we grow
In silence, in struggle, in what we bestow
Not given by birth, but forged where we stand
In moments of trust, not demand
A street can be anywhere people stay true
And family is something we build when we do
That’s a real nice job on this + hope everything works out for you guys
While this has been both emotional and overwhelming and way more supportive than I had ever imagined, I won’t drag it out, the results are already amazing. I have decided we let it run untill 2nd may, a few people have expressed that they wanted to add, but have asked to wait till new month. Thanks again everyone, both for kind words and donations.
Tomorrow evening this ends and I’m very grateful for the help, im
Taking off Monday and Tuesday to deal with insurance and the rehousing and this is a tremendous help in affording this, and we have second hand shopped a big crate of Lego for the kid.
