Please add more amps

Please add more amps to the game, here are some suggestions, even though this image is not great I know, but it does give some ideas:

:black_small_square: Also some amps specifically for arsonistic chips would be nice even if they are limited.

:black_small_square: I like the new expa amps, but they are kinda scarce atm. Would be nice to see some UL expa as well.

:black_small_square: Higher eff amps across the board would be great (with more variance in dmg amts)

edit: some AI generated prototype designs

Also, when new amps get added to the game, if you can please make it so that it’s achievable by all players across the board. I’m not necessarily saying make it easy to acquire, I’m just saying make it fair, not one-sided.

Thank you in advance for consideration!

If you’re reading this thread and you would like to see a certain amp in game, please share what you would like to see added.

It feels like we almost have too many amps at the moment, though it would be nice to get a few more higher level ones that fit some of the newer high end weapons, but I think they should all be (L).

The E-137 is a great example of something thats actively useful and used alot by high-end players, and while it currently uses M-Tokens to purchase, having things like that be in demand it promotes more cycling and interactions between professions, not moving further towards everyone having full UL everything with no MU spend anywhere.

We don’t need to make the power creep even worse and have a worse imbalance of power between the top damage and every else nana. How could you even suggest that as community advisor? I think your out of touch with most of the community.

To rusty: It’d be interesting to see how much E-137 usage was consumed during the RX event, and how much the playerbase would have benefited if that markup was generated elsewhere, not from individuals mayhem tokens.

This isn’t a conversation about power creep for high level players, it should be about how can Mindark provide more sustainable sources of markup and oppertunities for all facets of the playerbase to better support eachothers professions. Adding a new UL range of weapon amplifiers further isolates players within the games economy and make players more markup generators instead of consumers.

We do need more Limited amps but mainly for the camo bgh and marber bgh. Camo BGH could use the mayhem 110 amp but there are no big amps for Lasers so thats the one we need the most. As far as EXPA amps go they are easy to make, go hunt missions get the BPS and click them.

The issue isn’t markup, it’s that some players can do infinitely more dps than the average player, which if you can’t see how that’s an issue you shouldn’t be community anything as your too biased on the high end of gameplay you forget the average player

Literally anyone can use a Mod Nano T10, they just need to spend the time, energy and money to skill for it.

You’re literally complaining that skills, gear and time matter in a game that’s revolved around vertical progression in that space for the last two decades.

I wonder how long the game lasts if MA does as you seem to be suggesting and gives everyone a 300 dps weapon for free that’s fully UL and skill requirement 10.

Wow just wow… not everyone is rich man, we need to focus on the average person not people willing to spend and lose thousands…

The player base is will never grow if you focus only on more and more damage creep. You do realize 99% of the earth is level 0 right? That’s who should be catered to if we want the game to be successful.

I’m not saying to give a 300 dps weapon, how do you even think that when I’m arguing against damage creep.

The challenging part of the game is balancing your ped card while skilling to your end game goal. People who skill quickly might sacrifice more ped card to do so and people who hunt for MU will skill slower. Top players have about 2 x the dps of a mid level player if you consider MA dps 75 on a tier 0 weapon to be mid level which I think is reasonable.

As for the amps, I notice often-times for many weapons adding an amp can be advantageous for DPS but it discounts DPP/EFF.

I would imagine having amps and spending money for one would be beneficial across the board, at least DPP/EFF stays the same and DPS increases.

I suppose you could make an argument that there are already a lot of amps in supply, but I disagree. There are a lot of supply of Melee Trauma 6. That’s about it. The rest are niche and limited in supply.

There’s a handful of useful TWEN amps, and those don’t necessarily have a very good variance in damage. When I say variance, I mean the ability to fit various weapons well. A think a wide variance and a greater supply (not opposed to limited amps either) would be beneficial to meet that – no, not for ‘markup generators’ –
for players to be able to outfit weapons with a wide array of options to add to the “dynamic” element in Entropia, which I know is embedded in the teams mission, and I’m sure they consider new amps all the time, I’m just putting the suggestion out there because I think it’s something the playerbase can truly benefit from.

Game Still lacks Craftable Melee amps

Would also like to see amps with affects UL and or Craftables for all damage types with run speed LS , crit chance or what ever could be all new type of affect

“Literally Anybody can spent like 50k usd”

No, that’s the issue. This game can’t live with that logic, especially not from the rep of the community to mindark… No wonder the games direction.. no wonder the new player growth and retention is what it is…

You can hit about 70% of uber-damage without spending much and that leaves enough of a gap to the rest of the playerbase if you play your cards right.

The average player does not need a lot of damage as that only increases their losses since they don’t know what to do with it.

I would like to see more melee amps in game. There is no reason why ranged have mayhem amps but melee doesn’t. Sure the LS is nice but even at lower levels it requires an insane investment for an UL amp. Limited cheap amps and more smaller UL ones would make the game more affordable.

And please we need amps that last longer than fifteen minutes.

I couldn’t play at my maximum rate and i burned like 10-12 amps

Maybe put A10 series (l), blp (l) in loot would help, same with melee and mf lower end amps.

Cost of entry for such things mounts up some, ofc are the crafted but don’t think some in loot tables would overly hurt market.

How do you complain there’s too big of a gap between od nano level users and level 0 peeps?

What’s the thought process where you end up considering everyone should have same DPS, or at least low levels should get instant boost in DPS?

But it is, in terms of DPS, pay to win. You do need to have money. Mod nano level DPS requires some mod nano bankroll and mod nano can delete 200-300k tt a year, in just tt loss…

If you’re not asking for DPS, then what are you askign for? Mod nano removal? How do you close this gap? What Nana is saying is that it’s faily easy to get to mod nano level, can be done in a year and a half, even less for a tryhard. The budget issue should not even be brought up, this is RCE…

DPS has financial advantages that should still be behind some sort of a paywall.

On topic. One thing that could be interesting, attachments for amps, maybe, to modify their damage types, make it AOE, add some possible new buffs, some sort of modifiers, could be interesting.

It’s amazing how what I am saying is going so over the heads of hardcore players they have to make up some entirely different imaginary arguement I’m not even making in their heads and reply with a bunch of nonsense that doesn’t even have anything to do with what I’m saying
