I’m really curious, why Promoter Rating and Reputation skills (as seen in game) aren’t counted as skills, say, in Entropedia and other EU fansites? They are shown on skill window, have their own descripyion, points and ranks and the only difference is that they don’t belong to the specified category.
For the other hand Ethereal Soul Language, what don’t have it’s own icon too, but don’t have even points & ranks (therefore can’t be chipped and you can’t progress in it), and more of all, it’s hidden it’s shown on various sources (ie. Entropedia, see upper link ^). The other curiosity it that the Scill Scanner succesfully register it. Can someone then tell my why those two skills are so widely ignored, why ESL isn’t?
THey’re all uselss, ESL is just for coolness factor. Promoter/Rep rankings don’t affect your abilities, and they aren’t earnt in the same way as other skills. Mentor ‘skill’ is just a token number too. You don’t actually get any better at anything.
So I still think that it’s not fair to not include it on databases and listings. They are the same skills as above mentioned ESL and Mentor nut you won’t find any info about them in Entropedia.
What do you mena ‘unfair’ those sites are run by players if someone want to know your rep/promo rating then all they have to do is scan you. If you want them to be in entropedia, create an account and write up the page…
player-owned websites and tools will simply do whatever each one thinks it’s better, for probably no good reason other that “i simply thought it was better to do it like that”.
in the skill scanner, Promoter and Reputation are effectively scanned, and saved in the CSV file, but they are not counted in the total amount of skills; if people really wanted those skills to be included in the totals, i’d be glad to include them.
the chipping optimizer, otoh, does not show them, because these skills do not influence any profession.
Thanks for reply. The other unusual thing is that you start at 1000 points in them instead 1, but does health too (88). They can’t be chipped too (along with ESL and Attributes (incl. health), right?) so there is no use to use it on “chipping optimizer” :). I think I’ll try to add them to Entropedia and see the comments them. Or maybe I just suggest that on EP wishlist.
