I only just started playing about a week ago and i must say …
The wait is well worth it!
hope you enjoy it, sorry the post isnt to helpful… but depending on your connection speed it can take awhile… hang on a bit longer and youll be running from monsters in no time 
arghh~! :mad: download froze about halfway through Fulldat_800.ark while I was playing some Need for Speed… I aborted and restarted it but it started downloading that huge file from the start again :cussing: so be thankful you didn’t have to abort … now i have to wait an hour all over again
Well aslong as your connection is good there should be no problem. I usualy can download at 4-5mb/sec. So if your having problem it’s most likley on your side. Check you PC, call your ISP support or something.
I’ve got a good connection myself, but I found that the PE server would only upload at somewhere around 50-60kB/s, which took a couple hours, but yeah, well worth the wait. Some of the updates since my initial download have been quite a bit faster, so I assume that it’s just that the server’s really busy at certain times, and that the bandwidth for their ftp servers isn’t a high priority.
If you suspect that it’s a problem at your end, give me a shout, I’m good with connection issues.
I have a pretty good connection, I dl most things very quickly, including from MA, with the exception of this games client install… a friend of mine had the same issue it took about 4 hours to install for him and roughly that for me… set it up let it go and find something to do for a bit. It’s definately worth it and it’s the only thing I have had take any real time to do. Be Patient you will be glad you did once it’s done

I am lucky to get 5k a sec.. adn less if doing something else..
Last year I did have that speed, then downgraded to 1.6k no up to 5.6k..
first was broadband, moved and no phone.. so took wireless connection 16k then upgraded to 56k and next month hopefully back to 512k broadband again
