Noob Mob question. PAINT!

What are a few easy mobs that drop alot of paint? I want a mob thats kinda lower level(something around foul or combibo level) that drops different colors of paint. I’m wanting to go on a hunt for paint but im still at a noob level. 9.5/10.0 on my opalo. Any suggestions?

I’ve been searching on entropedia but I can only find some mobs like gradivore that drop 3 or 4 different colors. well… did drop 3-4.

Hey mate, I think you are going to find that most only drop 1-2 with any amount of frequency - but lower level I like the slugs (sabukma’s sp?) for orange paint - good to skill on.

I tend to get a fair range of paints from Bristle’s.
Its not unusual to come back with 3-4 or more colours.

Snarksnots are very easy, and they often loot plenty of paint cans, orange, green and some rare also. They also seem to cause more agility gains then other mobs.

You can find them around argus, north of atlas north, and for bigger ones check the crater north of Echidna.

What about gradivore. they loot orange and green very often. should i bother putting 2k ammo into them? I’m trying to find blue and pink and really colorful paints because I wanna color my shoes. :silly2:

well Gradi’s also drop Vigi feet and minor tp chips where as bristles also loot Korss so maybe take that into account too :wink:

The only problem is to lure them into the pvp4, and also I’m not sure about the “easy” part :laugh:

Well… I have an idea. I’m going to put 2.5K ammo into these 4 mobs in order. 1.Gradivore 2.Combibo 3.Sabakuma 4.Daikaba

The only way I can do this is if I dont lose too much money hunting those mobs. Hopefully I’ll get a global or hof in there somewhere. I’m at 9.9/10.0 on my opalo so I’m almost maxed out. Also each one of those mobs drops paint very often. I want to get into coloring seeing as i get so much coloring done.

I’m gonna put a omegatron colorator on my christmas list. I’ve been good this year so maybe I’ll get one. :smiley:

I don’t know what level colorer you are but I believe that at level 0 you are only allowed to use 3 colors: blue, yellow and orange. More colors are added as you level up. Take that into consideration when hunting. Good luck.

I’m trying to find blue and pink and really colorful paints because I wanna color my shoes.

I wish you luck on this but personally I would not do it this way - there are cheaper options:

  1. Check the auction for shoes which have the right colour - these are usually far cheaper than colouring your own shoes.
  2. If you cannot find shoes of the correct colour find a colourer who can colour for you. Either you can give the colourer the paint or you can purchase paint from the colourer him/herself.
    Note also that there are several shades of blue and they have different tts and markups. Don’t always believe what it says on the tin either, personally I think “Brown” is more like flesh colour.
    If you’re going to use pink and Dark blue then you will need around 200 of each:
    Pink: 200x13 pec = 26 PED
    Dark blue: 200x20 pec = 40 PED

So you are looking at a cost of around 60 PED to colour your shoes. (Unless you are just going to colour 1 field).

If you do go for the colour-them-yourself option then good luck. Note though that to colour pink you need to be level 23 colourer and dark blue level 33 (blue you could do yourself but would be slightly more expensive that dark blue, around 46 PED:
