No more PED loots?

I think it would be great from MA, to make the loots just out of items, no more PEDs inside of mobs.

It would lower the prices for most of the gear, so we all would have equal chances in the game.
Also we all can transform the items into PED (TT or market) so I dont understand why should we loot PEDs from mobs???

Or just give us more item loots with less PED in the loot, its nerving to have a HoF of 500 PED without even a heal chip, or some wool or any other item in it.
I am more happy when I loot a lesser heal chip worth 3 PED, than when I loot 10 PED.

I hope u can follow me, my english isnt the best,…

Items usually weight much more then peds.
Also they are not stackable.

I don’t want to be overweight with f.ex 1000 kilo of Pioneer shins after a 500 ped run of ammo.
Also item loot without perm. decay will result in flooding of market. Trading will then not be possible.

Of course some ppl want the times back when ppl nearly TT’ed Shadow and Angel parts. I really don’t know how this would effect the whole economy if it was brung back.

A lot of the PE economy is based on a pyramide scheme. This means that hunters can profit (or more common, lose less) when they sell items that stop dropping after a period. MA takes away money from decay, and if the hunter only pay a part of the decay, (because future hunters pay the other parts in TT++++ of items) then it is not so big loss for the hunter. The hunter will then stay ingame longer.

i agree that i would like to see more items in loots. even items we would just end up TT’ing… its just so much more exciting to see a loot window full of items, rather than just peds.

what we really need is the ā€˜drain’ system that marco was talking about with the new crafting system… so that items will be consumed, and more will have to found. that happens with resources, im curious to see how it will work with items…

I am afraid it’ll cost the players even more money… it’ll maybe a good thing for the crafters, but the game is so freakin’ expensive for hunters and newbies as it is…

I sure wouldnt mind flooding the market with mod mercs and mod.faps

Hmm-
I reflect on my old loots for 2+yrs ago (when items dropped regularly), but most of the items one would get were either weapons that you would tt (b/c every1 would loot them and they just weren’t worth anything) or clothes. And of course clothes were cool to get in loots often but that really does not enable a strong tailoring system to exist so looted clothing was nixed accordingly.

As Kjetil said, the value of things is relative to the market and how many are in existence. If every1 was only looting items, we would all be tt’ing most of those items anyway. And, as Kjetil also said, they would really weigh you down b4 you had a chance to get back to town.

In short- sure I’d like a few more items here and there on a more regular basis, but really it’s all psychological imo. Ppl get excited when they see items without really thinking ā€œare they worth a crap?ā€ :silly2: I’m always fine with ped… money is money :girl:

my :twocents:

I brought this up once on IRC and the same reasons were listed. I think it would be cool if say 1 in 10 loots had some sort of item. I looted a black and grey carpet last night and was stoked. I see that you dont want every loot to be an item. And i realize that most of the stuff you looted would be TT food. But the cool thing about looting iteims is you get to use some of them. I understand that alot of these things are TT food. But if i loot a A103 or a Pistol i can choose to use it or TT it.

I just like to get items because its fun if you get something you can use.

A thought that comes to mind is that Mindark has said before that the plan is to have the TT eventually go away. I don’t know how realistic a goal that is, but, it would definitly effect the idea of not looting PEDS anymore.

Come to think of it, maybe the lack of items in loot is preparing the economy for this switch.

I have seen this in the year that i have been playing. There used to be a lot more at the TT than there is now. Used to be long blades (remember the big two handed blue sword?) and a couple different guns and such. Now there is less and less.

It seems to me though that if they were wanting to remove TT completely then there would be MORE items in loot (lower level armors etc). But what do i know?

IMHO there are more than enough items looted and TT’d everyday. If they increased the items and removed the TT you would see flooding.

The truth is only MA knows what our consumption vs. supply is.

Low level armors can be crafted.

Yeah, i have become quite the expert on Settler shins.. hehe.. Also i can craft a full suit of Bodyguard. Im not sure why they bother with the TT armor, cause i dont think i have ever seen anyone running around in full settler.

When i started there was a small quest to get a full set of pioneer armor, and i used that for awhile. If you ever see the guy at billys standing there and you can interact with him thats where the quest started… And ended in Zeus… at the time tho you could float around as a ghost to explore. So it was much easier to get to zeus.

At any rate i think if they are going to do away with TT it would be cool to replace it with little miniquests to get these TT items. Like the quest that i did. Or you talk to a person for a bleacher and have to do this little quest to get the item.

I don’t give a crap if I can’t walk because of the amount of items I’ve looted. I’d rather have items than anything else. It serves more purposes than having PED in loots anyhow.

With that said, I’d rather see SOMETHING rather than NOTHING
