I started playing PE only a 1-2 days ago and gotten interested in mining. I read a lot about it and want to try it out. Could you answer my questions:
*Whats the aproximate price of the cheapest mining gear?
*Where should I buy it? At tt??

Well, if have limited ped & you just want to try your luck?
I’d suggest getting lowest level crafted enmatter tools, simply because the are availbale cheaply & you can still use them they beaten up .
So for as low say 6ped you should be able to get a MF101 (finder) & MD101(driller) ( both full TT are about 10ped) .
They don’t have any SIB (skill increase bonus) like the TT version ,but you are hoping to hit something with first few probes & may not try again.

Buy OF @ TT ,fater you full skill try to buy of101 or 102,it’s depend on your pocket
Next,buy OF211 (L),it will help you get about 5 global /7 mining trip.NEver Lost any ped if you sum and include with markup.

Yes, use items from TT, until u maxed or almost maxed it out u can change.
I would say its better to start with Enmatter Mining, because you get 2 probes for 1 PED. A good start for your first mining trip can be the swamps NE of Port Atlantis or also Treasure Island on Amethera.
After u know a bit about mining you can start with Ores Mining, also with stuff from the TT.
Or talk to “Rowdoc”, he told he has some gear for u which is also good for starting.

If ped really isn’t any issue( assumed sweating to fund it ?), then yes buy TT equipment just remember that enmatter gives you 2 chances per 1 ped arther just 1 for ore 
Thanks guys for the help. Few more questions - what is the best way to upgrade skills? I read about some chip-thingy, and how + how much those the skill influence the mining income/time? Does the chip cost much and is it better to stock peds and start mining when I use it to inc. my skills because it will return its price in more peds from mining?

Ore easy to find?! After several threads about profitable ore mining trips all are mining ore and most of nice areas are OWERMINED now and you must be in right time there to have nice returns
About your question: what to mine ore or enmatter is up to you. I suggest try both and you will see what is better to you.
Enmatter is cheaper to start and you will see mining profession in general.
Start with gear from TT and after some skilling look for some (L) finder to increase depth.

I can’t comment on chip in mining skills as I have never done it , but not as simple as more skills equal more claims. In my opinion, is better to skill up naturally , it more fun , a chance hit a big claim (plus all small claims along the way) . You also build the secondary skills as well( no need to chip 3-4 skills).
It cheap to to buy the skills, but only if assume you find nothing from doing naturally.
I would take the 500-700 ped that could buy some skill & buy probes or bomb instead.

If you wanna start mining, then yes.. first trips you HAVE to do with TT tools (just to see if you REALLY want to continue).
When it comes to deciding whether to mine ores or enmatter the only thing that matters is how much peds you have for mining. All in all - probes are 1/2 of bomb’s price. That means that if you have limited finances, you can do longer trips with probes and therefore decrease the probability that you mine in a bad area and lose 80% of your money.
On the other hand - ore mining is faster and therefore more interesting (im talking about the reload speed of extractors). Speed might not seem as an important factor, but if it really isn’t for you, you could make a career in sweating More turnover - more fun.
And about the theories flying around about mining schemes and shi*. Here’s my theory - just think logically and everything else is based on luck!
