I decided that I wanted to go try and kill a miner bot, just to see if I could do it and what the loot was like. I ran out to where the miner bots were and spotted one, but there was a Drone Gen 04 between the miner bot and me. I have very little dodge skill and haven’t done much bot hunting but decided to try the Gen 04. I laid into him with my korss 380, amped with an A103 amp. When the Gen 04 was half dead, he suddenly hit me for a crit that sent me to the revival station. I used my tp chip to get back to him before he could regen too much health, but ended up landing too close and barely got 2 shots off before he sent me again to the revival station. Again, I tp’d back to the location, but this time stopped short to give me more time. I started into the Gen 04 from range with my Justifier, then switched over to the amped handgun when he got within range. As my hp grew dangerously low, I managed to finish him off to a whirlwind of swirlies, trumpeting horns and congratulatory messages.
I was in shock and had to think about what just happened as I stared blurry eyed at the 13,552 PED HOF. Suddenly fruit sprouted from the ground right next to me and I picked up 25 Caroot. Just a little cherry on top of the HOF sundae. I regained my composure, and set my sites on the nearby miner bot, just in time to see a green dot run up and kill it. After all that, I missed my miner bot, got a HOF and a little Caroot.
big gratz, you worked for it, but i am sorry for the many ppl who are camping bots and hunting them daily. then someone comes kills his first gen 04 and scores a 13.5k hof. i dont have any problem with you, good to see someone who has that big luck, but if i were a bot camper this hof would piss me off like hell.
