My Fond Farewell

Dear Entropians,

As I turn the page to a new chapter of my story and away from Entropia Universe, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the time I’ve spent with this community. I’m so thankful for the warm welcome when I took my first baby breaths here, your active participation in our events, giveaways, and Q&As, and the passion and contribution you continuously show for this game.

When I reflect back on our time together it brings a huge smile to my face. Meeting all of you, either chatting online or in person, seeing you interact with each other during LANs or events, or the time I joined Socrates on a NI event chasing players down as a boss creature and me being unused to the controls accidentally exited the mob too early and it slaughtered a lot of you ?
After five enriching years and MindArk, the time has come for me to seek new learning opportunities and growth on a professional level. Leaving has not been, and is not an easy decision, as you’ve grown into a home for me over the years. However, I’m excited to explore what the future holds for me and I will continue to push my growth in the gaming industry elsewhere.

The transition from me leaving will be smooth, thanks to the re-awakening of Entropia Advisors, as was mentioned in our presentation last weekend on the Sweden LAN. These advisors will be a resource for you to share your ideas with, give feedback, or simply chat with someone who will understand your side of the story. They will be accessible both in-game and on our various official platforms, but more information coming on this soonTM??

The bug and suggestion channels on Discord will be deactivated for now, but the forum is still open for suggestions and feedback (and some specific bug threads created just for that purpose), and support is open for bug reports as always.

Looking ahead, we’re putting more focus on engaging events in the world for you to enjoy just like back in the days, like pvp and RX events, maybe even a treasure hunt every now and then! We will also continue to shape mayhems and listen to feedback, and I’m very excited for you to see the slightly changed Easter Mayhem coming this month! Announcement coming out next week ?
I started as a community manager very fresh during the pandemic (it feels so far away but yet so close), and I was met by a huge warm welcome from all of you. I don’t think either of us knew how things would unfold, I didn’t know how you would feel about having a community manager and you didn’t know how I would be to have around. My role has taught me so much empathy, for every individual story and interaction I’ve had, to the bigger spread of sentiments and opinions of the community. I can say today that I had no idea when I started that I would be so touched by a community’s willingness to help, and the passion you have for Entropia Universe. You’re not as scary as you were made out to be, or what you believed about yourselves ? You’re so much more thoughtful and caring than you seem to want to admit yourselves.

Thank you for everything, I wish all and everyone of you the best on your adventures in Entropia Universe and on your personal endeavors. I’ll always keep an eye on how Entropia envolves with the community and I’m looking forward to seeing how more players will join and enjoy this one-of-a-kind game. Because that’s what this game is all about, it’s more than just a game.

Thank you for everything, I hope your coffee or warm beverage of choice always stays hot and flavorful, and who knows, maybe I’ll get a chance to chat with you again in the future ?

Yours sincerely,

My or Morax, Community Relations Manager.

Gratz again. Honestly, leaving MindArk might be the best professional growth move possible. With no CEO in place, no Unreal Engine transition in sight.

A support system that consistently fails to respond or provide meaningful assistance.

Declining stock price, broken systems everywhere, and several major players leaving the game, it’s easy to understand the decision.

Wishing you all the best out there in the real world — where development has clear direction and feedback leads to action.

Thank you for everything you’ve done for the community. It’s very sad to see another line of active connection with mindark dissapear. I wish you could’ve done more, or would have been allowed to do more.

Thanks again, and may your coffee (or decaff) stay warm too :coffee:

Good luck for the future

Was nice chatting with you about life, cars, entropia etc. enjoyed butting heads and having a contact with someone at Mindark.

Between you and Socrates, you 2 are the only reason a lot of us still believe in the game. Now that you’re gone though, I feel thats another closed door that which communication was and should be at the forefront of the games current issues.

Sadly I don’t believe more presumably unpaid ambassadors will be good for the game.

Which means we can tick another employee off the Mindark checklist, I do wonder if we’ll see sub 20 people employed at Mindark by years end.

Unfortunately this is another employee who I know we all wish didn’t leave but know it’s what’s best for them. And I care about that more personally.

Will you still be playing Entropia or is this completely good bye?

Yes, in the end is is all about the people you meet in game. If anyone would ask me why I still play despite so many recently fu-ups from MindArk it is because of people I meet here, and stay in touch with.
I would say don’t go and make a different.
But take care

Good luck My with your future endeavours! Was great talking to you and collaborating with different things such as the mindark office visit for LAN players.

Hmm… so if the suggestions and bug report channels are disabled after one employee leaves… did that mean everything in those channels where that one employees responsibilities to maintain instead of a team effort?

Anyhow i wish you all the best and hope you find something awesome to work with/on in your next position.
