The leap from high variance to mistreatment doesn’t feel very well motivated. It has long been possible to 50-PED-click a blueprint and fail outright. The tendency is of course that higher potential return accompanies higher risk, and players can factor the different variances into their decisions regarding which activities are best suited to their personal goals and circumstances. Cherrypicking unfavorable outcomes as a representation of an entire system is a pretty worn out trope IMHO.
The ticket was alredy opened few few days ago when I noticed those low loot appearing but as you said, MA dont bother with it and supp case is still without any reply.
Yeah, from my perspective this doesn’t seem right. In hunting we’ve seen some no looters recently and the usual ‘minimum multiplier’ you get from hunting is around a 0.2x the one pec loots are definitely something that should get looked into.
That would have been a bad loot even on a C1 type (2ped cost).
But since Entropia is not gamble and don’t need to comply with gambling laws, they basically can do whatever they want. And that is the main reason that this game will never be big, too much of obscure zones loot wise.
I have followed for years that a traditional minimum for mobs is 20% from an assumed dpp of 3. The max for the 1x range was 120%.
Asteroids are not really mining, but hunting of non-regen rocky mobs.
Some mobs have a varience of their multis and sizes, but asteroids still seemed to fit in as mobs in this regard. I decided fairly quickly that they were not for me, however, and I’d have to do a lot of skilling up to still be unsatisfied later on as well.
These loots take the biscuit, though. They are well outside the expected range and virtually no-looters. I don’t trust that these were generated ‘properly’ in accordance with payout totals graphs (volume beneath the curve), and are a further reason to be against the secrecy on payout percentages. Nor do I have faith in anybody at MA going into the depth required to flag up complaints as valid, instead of thinking of them as just complaints about bad luck.
I tried space mining when it first came out and the returns were pretty decent. Stopped once the price of fragments tanked. Tried again yesterday to kill some time and was getting loots similar to the above fairly common, and even had a couple no-looters. That did not occur before, MA has definitely broken something.
O dam I really hope AI isn’t the support now lol it was bad enough when I thought it was some 3rd worlders with no game experience… time to delete space mining so we can get the 1 crafted item in game back (amps) and get economy moving at 3% of the speed it was in the good days.
Yeah happened to me also, last month, more than a couple of times, and that’s when I stopped my space mining.
