happens to me to day was killing a hoggs on ti got it down to nerly half life when it got a crit on me on my edge of radar it was a grup of pepol from hungarian trox killers . when i tp back i see the hoggs i was trying to kill nerly dead. and they was killing it and i ask if they have seen my mature i got reply its dead one of them was saying he was sorry i reply whit it not nice to kill stel one of them reply whit it was uors .
but som one of them was nice anyway he says grats tho me when i got a global on hoggs dont know if this is the tred to post it in. it kinda piss me off
maybe the hogg started to attack them.

let i said in other post ppl should be more tolerant to other ppl playing this game.
If they do this all the time to you report them but if i was just once ignore it and next time be more careful when hunt you hogglo or hunt exos instead so that you cannt get kill stealed when you die.

There’s killstealing and there’s killstealing.
If you die, personally I think the mob is up for grabs, I won’t go out of my way to not shoot it if it’s in my way.
However, people shooting the mobs while you are clearly attacking it, that is just blatant and disgusting, oh how I wish I could name and shame some people on this forum, but alas.
Btw I don’t think if this is a kill steal, because if I read right then my socmates weren’t there when you died. :scratch2:
See this is odd. Did they lower the point at which you can take over loot form an animal?
Or do hoggs just regen so fast it’s hard to get back in time to kill them before someone else can claim the loot?
Used to be (well seemed to be) if you just put one bullet into the beast the loot was yours no one could take it.

If you want a mob you need to lower the heal to the half, but if it heals back then anyone else can loot (if MA didn’t changed that again).
You post this about 1 mob??

this is still how it works - if you get a mob below 50% health, it’s yours until it gets above 50% health again
A hogglo is not just a “mob”, it’s “the mob”. :laugh:

If you die close to someone else.. Several times someone died so close to me that the hogglo automatically attacks me instead..
then i for sure wont stand there fapping taking decay..
The hogg goes down.. if he has more than 50% then its my loot, if not.. you better hurry out..
i wasnt there, but i have a question… who is the person, who wouldnt kill a nearly half-lifed mob when nobody around there?

- If a dmged mob attacks u without having it shot, kill it
- Dont do KS if a damaged mob dont attack u and dont provoke it
- If something changes, adapt

When i see a mob more than half dead, i will usually kill it when it agroes. If noone shows up for like 5 minutes, an the mob has healed enough, then I might go for it after killing the other mobs around. It also depends on the appreciation of the avatar that has been killed by the mob : if it is someone clearly incapable of dealing with it, and they attacked a mob too strong for them, i might just wait and help them finish it. But if it is very far from revival and there is no chance they’re going to find the mob again in the spawn, then again, i might go for it after a while. I don’t consider this kill stealing. Kill stealing is when someone purposefully attacks the mob you’re killing and outruns you in reaching 50% of the damage… rarely happens, but when you feel like it is what actually happened, you have two ways :

you and the guy discuss who shot first (in fact you might also be the one who did kill steal but didn’t realize it). The faulty one apologizes, or if you can’t figure who did it wrong, then just wish each other good luck, and take some space (if the mob looted an ATH… well… sucks, but 50% damage is rule, so there is no scam possible)

the guy is rude and stupid. Then you know he probably did it on purpose, and there is a chance he will do it again. Just leave… put the noob out of your radar range… what else can you do ? there are plenty of mobs around, most of them out of reach for such childish idiots wannabe badasses. To be able to KS, you need to have someone around. Avoid spots too crowded, or tag mobs nice and clean so there will be no doubt about it.
And if you died… well, sorry but that’s your fault. Maybe they did kill the mob on purpose, maybe they didn’t. Who knows ? Try not to die.
Would you also have come here to thank them if the situation was a tiny bit different:
- you shoot hog and its 51% down
- hog crits you, you die
- hog aggros other group
- they kill it, but can’t loot it
- you tp back, loot the mob and global
These things happen, don’t get all upset about it, if you die the hogs very often target someone else miles away.
KS is allowed but only jerks do it on purpose if done just after someone dies. If im attacked by a mob it goes down. I dont eat decay waiting for some to maybe get back.
On the other hand if i see a dmg mob i drag it on to my window to follow it and to keep in a safe distance of it. If for some time (ofc plenty of time to come back) nobody is comming back and no mobs left on radar it goes down too.
I dont blame any for taking my mob - if i go down - hey then it’s my own fault (lazy fapping or challange a too big mob).
But what bring my to be very pissed is that TURRET is taking my mob. But again thats my own fault not killing it before the turret takes it.
