As a lot of us know, bugs and exploits plague this game - and due to the unique environment of this RCE, players are often not incentivized to report bugs to the development team.
This causes a lot of players to either not report it and plead ignorance if / when confronted - or report in an effort to absolve them of any punishment out of fear of an account ban.
My idea would be for MindArk to introduce a system of reporting and assign a small committee to review the extent of the bug, and reward in PED the value they assign to the criticality / severity. The committee can be player liaisons or volunteers - that way it’s players who understand the implications of exploits that play the game regularly. Or, have it weighted as with the proposed new voting system coming soon.
Report enough bugs and get a unique cosmetic to flex how l33t you are as well - sky is the limit with this, and I know several other players would want to see this come to fruition.
I’m for. And me personally, I’ve received some universal ammo as compensation for some massive bugs. But also for the DannyO gate for example.
I bet it helps that my avatar name is a bug
While this would be very good for the game, the fundamental issue is the small team(s) available to handle this. The problem is the priority the management puts fixing the bugs at…
After priority, there’s also the fact that when it comes to their internal processes, MA cannot communicate with the players so all we can get is the standard “it was forwarded”. Which is super frustrating but at the same time I can’t see any solution for this. People make the craziest support cases and support always slacks terribly… no easy way out without hiring more people to handle stuff.
Definitely incentivising somehow reporting bugs would be a big plus!
