Memorial Island?

Greetings fellow Entropia-ites :cool:

I recently heard tell of a new island or and old one perhaps that has been named Memorial Island and has a memorial dedicated to Island Girl .

I am kinda out of touch since i only got back recently from a long vacation in Canada and the Bahamas so this is the first i have heard.

My question ,for any of you in the know, is : does this place exist and if so where can I find it? I’d appreciate if u could give me some directions or even the co-ords for it.

Basically:

A “famous” “celebrity” that played the game died in real life.

PE erected a memorial statue in her honor which resulted in the following:

  1. People became ticked off that she got a memorial when some other “well known” player also died in real life and hadn’t received a memorial (PE explained this as his family not submitting a death certificate, but that didnt stop the whining).

  2. A bunch of people who either had no idea who she was or barely knew her at all began leaving tons of crap (pecs, peds, flowers, oil, hides, me, and anything else that they had in storage) at her memorial creating some pretty designs resulting in extreme lag.

  3. A handful of “noobs” came along and started “looting” the memorial, “stealing” the items left there.

  4. A handful of “ubers” with too much time on their hands took it upon themselves to “guard” the memorial, killing anyone that looked suspicious or didnt follow their “rules”.

  5. Island Girl’s memorial eventually became a hellhole. Every “uber” with a gun tried to guard the place which resulted in clashes with other “ubers”. Noobs wanting to take a look at the memorial were gunned down resulting in whining, other “noobs” “stole” from the memorial resulting in more whining from the “uber guards”.

  6. FINALLY, Island Girl’s REAL friends and family came along and removed all the items to “give to the needy”. Eventually all the self-proclaimed “guards” went back to doing something more meaningful with their lives and the noobs went back to sweating droids leaving the memorial a peaceful place as it should have been in the first place.

And if you think anything like me you will agree that honesty and a clear uncensored-for-the-kiddies-with-a-6-year-old-vapid-opinion-phobic-mentality is a very truley rare thing to find these days in so called ‘discussion’ forums these days. Its sadly more like ‘tap dance around the issue or just out and out ignore it cause confronting it might cause us some effort’ forums. Which is why i have bid farewell to the infant hotel known as PE. :smiley:

And big kudos as a matter of course to the equally infamous and delightful CrazyGirl :slight_smile: Thanks CG I will in fact take you up on your offer if the chance presents itself - 'cause yes i have not yet had opportunity to track the island in question and am sincerely interested in spending a moment there.
