Just wondering what the maximum number of claims was you guys had up at the same time.
For me it was 42 today
nooblar.
did you have a status window for each of them so you could find them again?
42 at this time aint bad. I prolly had something like it as most. I generally try to mine the claims after 10 finds or so just to not get caught in a serverdive although they are very rare theese days
.
Back pregold 40-50 hits in a row was nothing unusual. I had stretches of claims west of Troy that went on for minutes when running back to start from the 1:st.
well I am happy when i get 5 Rods in a row. ![]()

Always excavate when getting one, im not having several claims up at one time, due to the server down risk strakkan mentioned.

I use my head Einstein (pun intended).
No need for maps either ![]()
Like MindBuster said, I also extract a claim right after finding it. This method does for some reason give me better return then if I claim several and then extract. Perhaps cause of “re-spawn” right after extracting? I dont know, just a theory. For me it works better though.
I think i had 38 once… i hit an abundent, great,signi,2amples, and a sizeable…was pretty cool ![]()

The oposite for me , the more claims I’ve got in inv. ,the more hits I get ![]()
But than again this is just a feeling I have , it’s all in my head. I usually like to have 6-8 claims up to 12-14 now , more than that is only if I hit in more than 2 directions and than I choose which ones to give up and come later.
But in the begining , when I started mining , I used to like having lots of claims in inv. , I was making a forrest lol, but I changed my way after I got cought by servers going down 2-3 times and loosing everything :silly2:
I’ve tried mining one claim at a time but I just didn’t get used to switching md with excavator so often , even after finding one claim I used to bomb the claim , find 3-4 more claims and than mine them all cuz it would be only one switch of tools  Yes ! I used to get jammed from switching a lot in the past, which made me relog and that ment loosing time and blast marks , so quite annoying ![]()
Hmm -
I haven’t noticed a lot of difference in the number of hits when I look for a bunch or when I find & extract one at a time.
BUT…
I have noticed that I can find claims right next to ones I’ve already extracted that I won’t find until the extraction has been done. In fact, if I bomb/probe right where I got through mining, I find another deposit about half the time - and it’s almost always bigger.

You got it right.
When a claim rod expires, the deposit supposedly respawns somewhere else in the area with brand new parameters.
If you are looking for a vein, you’d better keep a few claim rods up, though.
I personally extract right after claiming a deposit because I’m paranoid
Each to his own ![]()
I think the max claims i got was about 25 to 35. But im not going to put any more like that since one time i got severals larges and amples of lyst and oil, and i lost 3 claims because of the time and another time because i got killed and i had runing alot to get to the place. No way, never more. Also crashes are a danger too, they dont have problems in big Hofs since usually we get 6 hours to 5 days to get them but in the smaller ones speed is of enssence. My limit is to have about 10 to 15 claims, and Hofs or globals are always the last ones because they have more time to get them.
The most i have hit without a single “no resource” was 17. was near Nymph.
Most rods up is almost 25-30, dont remember. i dont extract till i’ve head atlast 10-12 rods up.
