There are many great charts out there and many great people who have made a great job collecting and putting together all data. Sadly, it’s a time consuming job and you are bound to get tired of it sooner or later. The charts get outdated and die. The solution is charts that can be updated by everyone. Then one person can focus on one thing and another on another thing.
I have created a site called PE WikiCharts where you can do just that. You can also find images of many things and a location system.
The location system is a system where you can mark out where creatures, teleports etc. are and let everyone else see it.
The only thing you can’t do is changing the chart layouts. That may be possible in a future version, but the technical aspects have to be solved. You can send a message if you want a chart to be added until then. Be prepared to fill the chart with data though.
I dont know If its easy to make, but maybe its usefull to make a login. And then make that every change needs at least 10 votes orso before its applied, to prevent kids from messing it all up.
A login will probably be implemented in the near future. Anonymous edits will still be allowed though. Why? Because the power of a wiki is that anyone can edit it. If you have some information that you want to share fast and easy, that should be possible without hassle.
There won’t be votes for edits because I don’t think that will work. I believe that most people will supply correct information and if they don’t do that, anyone can correct it. Sabotage can be handled by anyone and if it’s large, automatic deletion of all edits made by the saboteur and banning will be made. I hope it won’t be needed though.
PE WikiCharts will always be free for everyone to access and use. I am open to co-operation with everyone but it can’t be hosted on EntropiaForum because it will make it dependent of someone’s good will.
Thanks for all kind words and see you in the charts.
I think you have too much faith at the people who use internet ;). But time will tell, I hope you are right.
I will look if a can add/correct some stuff later on. A thing that seems not realy correct is the way the damage of different maturities is calculated. I seen the same problem in your excel charts ;). Maybe its an idea to make all the damage types at all maturities editable?
ps. I added a plating, but i dont understand how to choose the plating picture?
pps. Errrm oops, seems I messed up some things sorry :S
I think i fixed the things that i messed up hehe. But i cannot change the picture of the plating. I added a new one, but that would mean i have to change all platings to that pic.
And its not possible to select a picture properly. I just tryped the number of the picture, but that was just a hunch and it worked.
Another thing that might be nice is to have an option to choose that values are unknown or not certain, so that it will have another color orso in the charts. Now just a 0 appears to all unfilled fields. Might be confusing.
I belive that more people want to create good charts than bad charts. That’s why projects like Wikipedia works. The good people outnumber the bad.
The damage vs. armor chart are just estimations. The goal is to have them as accurate as possible but it’s very difficult and tedious to get exact values of each damage type each creature does. Fractions are used now and they seem to be quite close, but I don’t know how close since I don’t own all armors and I really don’t have the time to test them all.
How are you going to determine if an arenatrox does 100 impact or 150 impact damage? The only way to find out is to use an armor that absorbs all damage and there is no armor available that can absorb that kind of damage. It will only be useful for low-level mobs, but it’s worth discussing.
Descriptions for assigning images in Update were missing. They are now added. Unknown values are also removed. You can make a comment when you update a value if you are uncertain of its accuracy. Then other people can see that and update it if it’s wrong.
It’s right that you have to assign your new image to all the existing armor platings. Hard work but I made it for you (with an SQL statement).

Ok I understand its hard to find it out for high damage mobs, but its not realy interesting what kind of damage and how much of it they do anyway ;). And for the smaller mobs its not realy that hard to find out how much damage they do of each type.
Another cool feature would be to select a mob type, and then only that type is shown on the map. That would be realy usefull.
I think this site could be a replacement to all others Great work !!!
The site has been updated greatly since the release. The number of contributors are very low but Witte is doing a great job with updating the data and I’m working hard on updating the technical aspects. Why don’t you check it out and say what you think?
I tried adding reload and decay to the FreanD Alpha ME, but when i click the add item button (i assume thats the one) it just takes me to another page with blank fields and the old data written under it. It seems to be no further ?confirm? button or something like that.
Edit: forget it i just now noticed how wide that page was…
Okey, you pressed the wrong button. You are supposed to click on the Update link. It’s in the same place as the Edit link you clicked on before (rightmost in the charts).
