So…
Basicly any member of the Federal Government(can you say police state?) can do whatever they want without any judges or other laws having to say anything about it and when you go to the media, the public (or to your lawyer) you go to prison?
If there are rules against disscusing poltics here I wont go any futher than to tell you to look into the recent EU report on some of the new anti terror legoslation in the UK.
Well…he does have a point. I guess to keep Freedom “free” the Government needs to impose these things, but I think its for use against terrorism and such.
Then again I could be tottaly wrong and now have a black helicopter hovering over my house…
I could also name other countries that are waaay more authoritarian..but I won’t…
If he were American and wasnt always calling people Americans as an insult I would take this post as a way to start a political discussion…but since I know that he dislikes America I take this as a personal insult. Just as all Americans should. I will catch heat for saying all this but anyone who follows this message board close enough will know that Kalashi has made many many anti-American remarks and I move to have this thread locked and have any negative posts towards any country be deleted. No Political Posts!!
I presume you don’t live in the states, if i am wrong please correct me. Otherwise, I find it amazing that you even care about our legislation. Especially one that is completly aimed at US citizens.
To give yourself a little more credibility you might want to at least give us the source of your data so we can interpret it ourselves, without an obvious cloud of prejudice to sift through.
I am and always will be extremely happy that I was born an American.

“If he were American”???
So the post would be okay if an american had posted it???
Why do you take it as personal?
The real issue here seems to be your problem of a non-american making a comment about american law, which sounds a touch racist and hypocritical to me.
When did the term “american” become a dirty word or insult?

America always interfers with the politics and legislation in middle eastern countries though,so your comment is rather futile :nana:
When did the term “american” become a dirty word or insult?
When Kalashi decided to make it one. As you may be aware of yesterdays fun with HOLLERRRs post Kalashi used the word “American” as an insult towards both HOLLERR and me. I am proud of my country, and I take offense when somebody makes a post with the obvious sarcasm and insult that Kalashi made.
Well I always enjoy a good political argument especially if it involves the " big brother to the south " but … on second thought I think I will await MB’s decision as to allow or lock this thread before voicing my opinion.

American isn’t a race, but if an American must post this for it to hold any weight on this forum, then allow me to do it.

Time for some politics!
After a vote late Tuesday by the Senate Intelligence committee…(USA)
The FBI has gained new powers to demand documents from companies and Citizens without a judge’s approval.
As well as the ability to designate subpoenas as secret and punish disclosure of their existence with up to one year in prison
So…
Basicly any member of the Federal Government(can you say police state?) can do whatever they want without any judges or other laws having to say anything about it and when you go to the media, the public (or to your lawyer) you go to prison?
Please pay particular attention the the “Dispelling the Myths” section. And more closely at the 3rd myth…
Myth: The ACLU claims that the Patriot Act provision about delayed notification search warrants “would allow law enforcement agencies to delay giving notice when they conduct a search. . . . This provision would mark a sea change in the way search warrants are executed in the United States.” (ACLU, October 23, 2001)…
Reality: Delayed notification search warrants are a long-existing, crime-fighting tool upheld by courts nationwide for decades in organized crime, drug cases and child pornography.
The FBI has always had the ability to act without a judges pre approval, especially in cases where time is critical… terrorism has just been added to that list of crimes.
