I was just reading something about a scope for sale, it said almost %100 so you get the full mod use outta it. That got me thinking. I know armor has to be at %100 for it to work as designed. But it was my thoughts that with a wep it didnt matter.
So that makes me wonder. If my laser sights, scopes, amps, etc.. aren't at %100 am i not getting the full usage out of them???
If this is the case then I have some expensive repairs ahead, i have let my two sights go into the red thinking there is no difference. I usally keep my ARR8k at around mid level as well.
Thanks in advace for your answers!!
I really have no idea after playing this game for two yrs
I do know that some claim that EVERYTHING used for the kill (weapons, attachments, armor) must be at 100% (or close thereto), whereas others yet claim they do not.
I have often thought it was just speculation, but perhaps some1 can provide some conclusive evidence one way or another.
I’d say that right now it dont matter, but it may in the future. I have a couple of se800’s and an rs3500 all at full repair, and I keep them there, it only costs a few ped each few hundred ammo to top them up. The first repair was a little painful though! :broke:

Thats why i am asking i prolly have around 300 ped worth of repairs if that is the case. I keep them low for cost purposes. I keep my armor at %100 but to add weps and all the attachments to it would be a big hit to the CC.
I think this is true for armor, because the decay is based on TT/durability. If one of these changes, the armor doesn’t protect as well. Think of it like this; The decay IS the protection :silly2:
Yeah, im sure of it with armor. I was just wondering with other items. I didnt think that weps made a difference.. as i have seen none whatsoever. But someone mentioned scopes and got me thinking. Does anyone know for sure if the TT value of attachments (weapon only) effects or does not effect the efficency of the item?

Scopes & Lazers NO
AMPs YES
When an attachment runs under 10 % a weapon or Armor can be unusable.
The weapon do not work & Armor not protects the points your Plate add to it.

Weapon attachment condition of Amps does not effect performance.

So which is it? I’m pretty dany sure the the current TT value of an amp has no bearing on the extra damage it does, but the important thing is that I have not tested it.
So, if either of the two people I have quoted would care to offer some empirical data to show the reasoning behind the claims, then I’m sure the community as a whole would be interested in reading it.

I see
I not counted, because i not count. When i start that i getting frustrated about my usages
With Scopes & Lazers, i bnever noticed a loss of aditional persentage.
On AMPs i noticed, that a weapon not like to shgoot annymore, whern it is fully decayed. (How more a AMP is decayed, how lower your damagerate wil be)
Maybe look @ EP, i gues there is already a POST about AMP-Decay.
Straying somewhat from the target of the post, it is a known fact that a fully decayed attachment will affect the gun it’s on.
What the affect will be varies from VU to VU. Sometimes you can fire the gun, using ammo and causing no damage. Sometimes the gun will not fire, claiming it’s damaged. Sometimes you get a warning message before this happens, sometimes it’s after it happens.
I’ve never fully decayed a scope or laser (do you know how long that would take me!!) but I’d assume it works the same for those.
However, I’ve never noticed a lower affect from a almost damaged amp. It’s a simple test tho, take a ful TT A204, and another a few pec over minimul condition, put them on an outbacko or M2201 and give them to a suitably high skilled avatar for testing.
