Sure, 0.01 is not a lot, in reality it might be 0.001 or whatever is rounded…
But it adds up quickly if each transaction is like that one.
So what is happening here?
Using float instead decimal for currency balance?
Some other error?
Or AI is ‘salami slicing’ our PED to skim off for retirement fund?
Whatever it is, you better address it fast, as it’s just another trust-issue vector.
I spoke to the team about this, and they have now looked into it. Just to assure everyone right away; nothing is missing or has disappeared.
This was a display bug on the Inventory Changes page. The list of changes sometimes left out small changes of 0.01 PED or less (like for example pet energy ticks), making it undercount compared to the total shown above. The total itself was correct though, as it includes those small transactions.
We have now fixed it so that the change list and total always add up properly. The fix will be implemented on the site soon, and you won’t need to reset your snapshot for it to be applied.
Thank you for reporting this and helping us find it!
Please ask team to fix one more issue i discovered yesterday with inventory page, and had no time yet to report it:
When on inventory page, when you search an item that does not exist on the list, search and items table dissappear completely. It can be brought back wit page refresh.
