Improving creatures in Entropia Universe

Here is an idea brought forward by my society Leader Ebony Knight. I would like to know what you all think or if you have any other ideas like this/ ways to improve this idea?

Make Pets more useful
• Pets produce common dung
• Gather sweat from pets but this reduces energy and respect.
• Include more animals for animal taming
o 1st inclusion - Berycled, Combibo, Merps, Sabakuma and Tantillions
• Pets can attack
• Herbivore pets will always runway from Carnivore mobs when under ?% of its health depending on its pet level. (See new animal types and classification points)
• Carnivore pets will attack anything when under ?% of its health
o Carnivore pets lose respect if idle and not attacking
• Herbivore pets have different special tricks
o Finding fruit or stones for example
o Herbivore pets will defend themselves but cannot be ordered to attack
• Revival chips for pets (See Revival Chip suggestion point – Support Case 132113)
• Pets are revived in the Stables

Add new animal types and classifications
• Animals are classified as either herbivore or carnivore
o Herbivore pets are fed nutrio bars
o Carnivore pets are fed nutrio jerky strips
o Nutrio jerky strips is refined meat scraps (See Stamina and Energy suggestion point) and sweetstuff
• New aquatic animals – mobs based on Jellyfish, Octopus/Squid, Crabs/Lobsters, Eels, Rays, Sharks
• New type of creatures
o Carnivorous Plants – Mobile and Immobile
• Botany main skill when scanned
o Plant Mutants
• Botany and Genetics the main skills when scanned
o Aquatic Mutants
• Biology and Genetics the main skills when scanned
o Reptilian Mutants
• Biology and Genetics the main skills when scanned
o Cyborg Animals – Native creatures of Calypso have had parts replaced with cybernetics
• Biology, Robotics and Zoology the main skills when scanned
o Cyborg Mutants – Native mutants of Calypso have had parts replaced with cybernetics
• Genetics and Robotics the main skills when scanned
• Introduce New Damage
o Poison/Venom – amount of poison damage is inflicted over a period of time
o Anti-Venom medical equipment to offset this
• Bring back Boolums and JamRaiders

Adding Professions/Skills
• Slavers and Robot Controllers work same way as Animal Tamers
• Slaver uses mutant taming skill to tame mutants as slaves
o Whips can be used to tame slaves
o New equipment – stun-rods and stun guns used for taming skills
o Different mutants have different inherent professions that owner can use instead of their own profession/skills.
o Revival chips for mutants (See Revival Chip point– Support Case 132113)
o Mutants are revived in the Slave Pens (New Building Type)
• Robot Controller uses Robot Override skill to control robots as servants
o New equipment – device to control/override the robots commands
o Different robot types have different inherent professions that owner can use instead of their own profession/skills
o Robots need fuel resource to replenish energy levels
o Revival chips for mutants (See Revival Chip point– Support Case 132113)
o Robots are revived in the Robotics Assembly Plant (New Building Type)

I like these, esp the pets finishing off mobs for you :slight_smile:

Mermoth used to attack underwater along time ago I could never understand why there arnt more aquatics

I like the idea of evil robots cybernetically altering some of entropia’s wildlife into more dangerous or aggressive creatures :slight_smile:

i can not understand why MA implement some thing that do not have a true purpose in game but this would defo make it more fun and reason too have a pet..

i think this would also make a great event section mobs vs mobs fights controlled by there leader or even mobs vs avatars

I like these ideas particularly the stuff about the class determining if it can attack or defend. The pet getting hurt would require you to fap it to make it stay alive (special faps?). This is the same as any other player you may take with you who cannot heal themselves but could similarly take the flak off you.

Re: rev chips. pet dies, he is dead forever (train/buy a new one). Buy a rev chip for him though then attach it to the pet first and it gets decayed a bit when he dies, sorta like a teleport chip)

re: finding fruit. yes I think this is a good idea. ie you could direct your pet to go cover an area (a max distance from you to prevent abuse) you could cover a different area. This would mean everyone would want pets :yay:

ok how about animal oil residue getting ditched for “meat scraps”? Then it would have some use. Also “meat scraps” seem something you are more likely to find in a carcass…

I’m only in favour of these if they are immobile and cannot be killed. basically just making certain environments hostile (don’t get too close to the plants). Think, a bit like radioactive areas in games like halflife.

I like the idea of cyborg robots (massively) but only as story line development i.e. (actually I’ve had a darn good idea and am going to send a support case)

not bad idea. this was used to good effect in worms armageddon. ie your worms got sick and lost a few health points per round and would eventually die unless they picked up a med pack (iirc). I think medical shots would be nice items to be manufactured and used to combat this.

Not sure about controlling existing robots but I like the idea that people could build robots that could travel with you. These decay of course (like guns) and have to be given ammo to fire when you do (at the same target).

If you don’t want them left out in the field when you die you need to equip them with teleport chips which decay whenever you die due to the need to teleport the bot back to your location.

Not sure MA will go for that idea as its like having 2 guns. They could treat them a little like amps though.

Nice ideas all round (save for the slave one). Good to have this sort of thread popping up again.

Love it, so well thought out and in reality quite doable and would make the game play so much more diverse…MA…LISTEN. IMPLEMENT. NOW!

why have pets in this game if we cant use them, this is the question we need to be asking MA, I want to ride a horse, this has been a simple form of transportation since the beginning of time, so why not in EU, I find this to be stupid way of business.

Pets are crap at this point in EU, just another way to waste ped, I mean really other than the skill points you get standing there beating you pet or greeting your pet what is the point, I cant use the pet.

I would like to see how the world would be if we never used our own pets/animals.

Maybe I am way off target, but I feel that every other MMO out there has a good use for there animals in game, EU and MA you really missed the point on pets here. FIX IT!!!

I think pets will be updated right after the vote terminals and the entropia exchange.

In otherwords they stand as a memorial to another unfinished or ditched idea.

I actually had an idea the other day that U might copy..

Animals can “breed” across spices like:

  • atrox runs into an armax, and these two transforms (morph) into an atromax that has 1½ the HP of the mob, and 1½ of the attack power, mixed powers into each other.
  • sabakuma and trox that suddenly morph into sabatrox that is dual size and can crawl and bite/bite somehow.
  • drone and second entity that can both use swords and lasers.

That would create some amazing creatures and all mobs will be able to morph with any mob.

Imagine an chomper morphed with an phasm and then morphed with an molisk…

or molisk morphed with an atrax and then with an faucervix.

Morph levels could be adjusted according to how much HP the lowest lvl mob has.

Tell him that someone can have more than one email adress:)

That’d be highly difficult to implement in a MMO game due to server strain, but yeah, it’d be funny to see some of these mobs…

Feffervix; Moligglos; Fugatrox; Turpies; Hognibs; Dasplumatergus; the fearsome flying Ignitrax, etc. Fun stuff. :smiley:
