How far will 500 PED take me?

[QUOTE=RexDameon]
I dont know as long as you can take the monotony of Find mateials for good price, skill craft mech, metal,electric for a while. It’s not that bad. I was doing pretty good at it and was sticking to crafting as i was actually making some ped at it just skill crafting on filters, pumps, and servo’s.

My big problem with crafting is the market and that your constantly playing bid war on auction and Finding your materials for a descent price can be just to time consuming. mabey if i hof or something one day i’ll get back into it when i have more money to throw around. I would recomend armour crafting as it seems to do well with Rascal and Ghost and Goul armour in high demand.

Maybe you forgot to quote the rest? :wink:

As I said you need to invest loads of time and money into skills and getting BPs(wether by crafting stuff or just buying them directly) to be able to craft decent-sellable stuff :wise:

Hi Zap and welcome to the wonderful world of PE :girl:

I just want to make a few quick comments here as you’ve already received enough advice to last you a while in your pondering :slight_smile:

1). this game ought to be about having fun. Different ppl that play are comfortable depositing different amounts. Only deposit that which you can part with forever… no expectations and no exceptions. :wise:

2). Starting out in game with a good amount of ped is great to get yourself a good starter set of cheap armor, weapons, ammo, mining equip, or whatever… but remember that as a newb you want to BUILD your skills. No armor means that you will take more dmg sure, but you will build your health points in doing so :boxer: Not having all the ped in the world to buy that better weapon can seem crappy, but it’s that little Jester (or whatever weap you decide on) that is going to last you FOREVER in this game and is going to be your best friend for getting those skills… so that you can eventually hunt bigger mobs and have some more fun doing so, hopefully :wink:

ah what i would do if i could do it all over again… :kos:

If you’re planning on hunting I really recomend starting in with a Mann MPH and pixie, even if you don’t plan on using handguns. You gain skill each time you perform an action, and since the MPH has twice the firing rate of the D1 you’ll gain basic skills for hunting like Aim and Deal Ranged Damage much much faster (twice as fast even) Hunt Exos and Dabiakas with pixie, if you want to deal a little more damage hook the MPH up with an A101 amp(no additional ammo burn) and you can do 10dmg/sec and increase the max effeciencey of the weapon a little bit.

500 ped will take you a long way thru your basic skilling, I’ve probably put in twice that myself, but I buy stuff at auction (at the sellout value no less, very expensive) and I’ve collected quite a few weapons, some of which are quite inefficient, and I’ve been skilling up longblade, shortblade, handgun, and rifle all equally, so my efforts haven’t been very focused.

If you do run short and you’re not trying to use the big guns in an attempt to break even putting in another 10bucks will take you quite a way. If you spend all your time in expensive armor with guns eating 10 cells a shot (or even more) expect to be depositing quite a bit more untill your skills are migh higher.
