How efficiency works

Made a small experiment to show how efficiency actually works as I understand the numbers Zho shared might get too heavy. I constructed a small experiment where I compared minimum multiplier and the difference ended up being what was predicted.

The video is nice, but take off the sack next time for better audibility, it’s not a hostage video

I was thinking about going through the audio track and reupload it, I know there are ways to make improvements without making a new record just got to learn. I am still brand new to all this so didn’t want to end up overwhelming myself.

Today I am staying completely silent at work, I listened to my own voice for four hours yesterday and it gave me a terrible headache.

We still have players that claim eff doesnt matter and we still some that use accu enhs lmao.

I know, and that’s why I thought that if I can show the difference and it is consistent with what we predict using the numbers we have available, people can stop with theories that make no sense.

Say that to Ninja, he got 70k with 40 eff lmao

With 90% eff it would have been 72,450

Thanks for sharing this video.

You mentioned that you picked the two weapons, because both hit some cap to get only shrap, but I couldn’t understand which cap. What’s the name of the it?

Every mob has a cap of input before you get penalized. When the cost to kill is too high compared to the mobs HP you will only receive shrapnel. If you go even further, the input will stop counting towards loot. These two weapons hit the first with one shots and the second with two on Caraboks which is one reason I chose to exclude loot events where the mob evaded (multipliers would fall below 0.15).

I haven’t bothered to track at which specific points these things happen since it doesn’t really have any impact on normal gameplay. I could gather the numbers if there is any interest for it.

Made a follow up answering a few questions. Audio still not great but working on it. Later today will show how to take advantage of loot waves.

It’s been 9 years since Loot 2.0, and people are still out here arguing with the math. :stuck_out_tongue:

By the time the peeps finally figures out how eff actually affects TT, how DPP dictates loot composition, and how DPS scales it… we will be heading to Loot 3.0.
People like Zho, Eve, Alina, Messi, and others have dropped valuable info like this over the years, but guess what? People either can’t read or just prefer to blindly follow their own theories (perc? ).
But guess thats exactly how the game works. players who actually can read MA’s announcements get the early mover advantage, and they profit directly off the rest.

I think one issue is that Zho’s numbers are overwhelming and people don’t understand what they looking at. I am showing that the difference is exactly like those people and MA said because guess what? I still see people complaining that efficiency is a myth because they had a bad night with a high efficiency weapon.
