I’ve seen quite a few screenshots of PE posted on this forum, some of them taken in the midst of pitched battle. Now I’m guessing for that reason it’s done using a hotkey. Is it built into the game controls? How’s it done?
Cheers,
Virnai.

Press “Print Screen”
Then alt - tab out, and paste it into a graphics program…
Ahh yes. Should have thought of that.
Thanks.
You could also use a dedicated capturing program running in the background, like Fraps, HyperSnap or GrapClipSave. Those are useful when you need to take several screenshots in a row, as you don’t have to alt+tab out of the game to paste the image because these progs save the screenshot into a file automatically based on the settings you can define yourself. I myself have grown pretty fond of HyperSnap.

Don’t forget to mention that besides screen shots fraps can take moving pictures (films) with sound ..

i tried once but if i remember correctly i constantly had those annoying big numbers indicating fps :\
wrote my own screen capture program - too cheap to buy
written in c# - still adding features to it - if anyone wants a copy let me know
you need the latest .net framework - free download from microsoft

Why not give PEassistant a try. If you hit the print screen button it auto saves it in the PEass folder for you. Plus you can look at the pics you have taken in game without having to alt tab del out.
(also give you access to mytwopecs, auction sites, revival maps, teleport maps, calculator, timer and loads of other stuff ALL IN GAME!!)
Can be downloaded from the address in my signature…
Check out the PEass Thread HERE for more info…

Its free but limited… reg it its worth it
At any time, pressing Print Screen will take a screen grab and place it in the clipboard. You can paste it in any image editing software. Even paint.
You can use paint to save that screenshot (or an unregistered fraps BMP grab) to JPG.
