Hello, I made it past the tutorial and bought the starter pack . Ive killed so many level 1-4 monsters so far all my weapons from the tutorial are unusable and anything i get from the auction house I am unable to use wiithout it going super slow because of my level. I am trying to use range laser weapons pistol but am stuck with 1 basic 5 dps weapon. Which levels should I focus on leveling so I can equip these weapons. thanks.,
i made the mistake a puchasing a 125 ped laser rifle lol with a bunch of ammo but cant use it really… so i bought 3 smaller dps ones all of them i get the same error. I cannot even use the 7.7 dps one.
Go to the repair terminal and repair the weapon from the starter pack you purchased.
It said that item cannot be repaired. The same with all the L items I bought.
I know i just need to hit a specific level somewhere but I don’t know which one skill or profession . I’ve killed well over 1.5k mobs I should be able to equip the lowest tier item
Where did you buy the starter pack?
I don’t know if there’s a black market for starter packs, but
if you bought it from the official store, you should have an unlimited rifle. [Frontier Hunting Rifle] or [Frontier Hunting Rifle, Adjusted]
Yeah from the site. Ok tommorrow im going to double check. I dont remember it giving me a gun. Thanks ill let you know
Every weapon has a tab with information on in such as damage numbers and weapon type. On the same page you will find information on what profession it uses and what the requirements are to use it and to max it.
Just a heads up, 1500 mobs is by no means a large number in EU.
Gear from starter pack should be repairable.
Weapons from starter packs are repairable, and superior (economic) to anything cheap stuff from auction house. I recommend skilling melee (starter pack knife) for HP gains and defensive skills + lifesteal and evade bonus with m-matrix amps later but also rifles from the packs are good choices
IF you end up using starter pack rifle feel free to check my logs so you know what to expect.
GL and happy hunting! ?
Hi, at every revival/teleport point there are terminals. UL equipment can be repaired at the repair terminal.
There are UL/L weapons with low damage but requiring 100 skill levels. Read the weapon info carefully. Since you bought a set from the store, you have armor and a rifle/dagger (UL) that can be repaired. Armor wears down over time—UL loses its protection stats, so you need to repair it for better protection after every hunting run.
If you’re on Calypso right now, do missions for Daily Tokens. It’s best to only do the ones that give 20 tokens—they’re rare and are given randomly when you take missions. If your deposit isn’t huge, it’s better to skip the others and retake missions after 16 or 20 hours (but you need to abandon the missions in your mission log). You can use Daily Tokens to buy temporary (L) weapons for skilling and farming.
Also, if your deposit allows it, look into attachments for weapons from the Omegaton 100/200 series. But keep in mind: don’t install an attachment that adds more than 50% of your weapon’s base damage (not DPS, but damage per hit), otherwise you’ll be paying decay for damage you’re not actually getting.
Also look into scopes and laser sights for ranged weapons: Bullseye 8 (you can install 2) / Longreach 4 (1). They increase efficiency (TT return from hunting) but lower DPP (loot quality). I don’t recommend dropping DPP below 2.8.
All the weapon attachments listed above have 82%+ efficiency, which averages out with the weapon, but they lower DPP, especially if the weapon’s damage is below 14 per hit.
On the wiki, in the weapons section, there’s a “Weapon Compare V2” tab where you can check damage per pec—that’s DPP. You select the weapon, attachment, scope/sights and check the DPP. You can install scopes and sights one at a time, or all three together. Look at the DPP to see what’s most efficient: if DPP is 2.8 with a scope but drops to 2.6 with two sights, just install one of them. Once your weapon deals 14+ damage per hit, you can install everything—DPP will drop only very slightly.
First paragraph good. Ignore the rest.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. It looks like i banked the gun in the starter pack right when i got it on accident. and yes now I Can see what levels are required. Thank you so much, this game is a lot to take it but I love the grind . hell yeah
I am learning more about this game.. a couple questions..
So are Unlimited weapons generally more expensive because you can repair but less dps. Do normal players just keep purchasing L items to continue grinding or hunting?
also if your level is far exceeding the recommended does it make it perform better or does it cap at recommended.
also is there like a chart of existing guns or weapons in the game like a chart so I can know what to took forward to if I obtain those levels.
One thing I can say is wow, its actually insane how tough the grind is.. and I have max leveled insane games before .. this game starts out with no free levels.. insane I like it.
@CharlesC Get a mentor! :wise:
i did get a mentor today pmed me.. someone wanted to help.. but he asked if I had ped.. and he wanted to show me where to get the best training.. and he wanted to bring me to another planet.. and I said How do we get there and he kept asking me to get on discord. I heard if they bring you to space they can steal your items so I blocked him lol. I dont know if it was right but thats what happened. ( I played runescape a lot as a kid.. ive learned )
In Space, you can be looted due to PvP, but items other than those in the materials and resource tabs of your inventory will not be looted. Given the circumstances, I think blocking the mentor was a bit of a premature decision.
And it’s WAY faster than first 10 years ![]()
Well I understand it, considering OP does not know a thing about game yet
