We are making a new version of pricefinder…
Our target in this version is “Speed and design”.
We have optimized the updater scripts thats ripping the data from MindArks webpage.. But ut has been running a bit sluggish lately.
That and due to the fact that there is over 300.000 entries in the database we seriously needed to do “something” to the data sizes the script had to run on.
We have sorted this now. But to lower the server CPU time we only automatically update the last 3 entries in the database automatically… This will work in the “future” so to speak.. as each time it gets 1 new entry.. it checks the last 3… Hence.. from now on it will be 100% updated at all times..
But the script dident do this before.. so.. all entries older than 5 days, thats when we implemented it, can have errors..
We have made a script to counter this.. But due to the insane data size the server cant handle the enormus load of updating the entire database…
Therefore the script need to know what item to update…

As I said in the beginning we are making a new version of Pricefinder.
This is still in the design phase, so we would really like some input.
And the question a lot of ppl are wondering… Yes… some aspects of it will be free.. We are yet to decide which…
So.. what we would like you to do is to go to the page… And check values.. if you click “extended information” on a single item.. and see something strange.. PLEASE update the item.. we are head over heels in coding and collecting item images… Yes.. in this version there will be images of EVERY item.. Yes.. there is a lot of images.. (1900 approx) Yes… thats insane…
If you wanna help with the images as well.. Please do so..
We might just have to give you a premium account if you send us some images :-p
